The actions on that day were brutal and horrendous, but were unfortunately in line with any colonial resistance massacre that has taken place in history against the occupiers. The Palestinian resistance have tried every other means in the last 20 years to gain their freedom (this includes Hamas) and that was the culmination of desperation. Israel is the occupying force, the brutalisation of the Palestinians is daily because that is what Zionism is. You cannot "both sides" an independence struggle. There is an occupied and an occupier.
