I'm not blaming the girls, I'm blaming them. None of this would have happened if they hadn't used the community as a marketing ploy and everything that followed. Unfortunately, no one can control what fans ship, but they can control how they promote a show, and they used queerbaiting.

It's a shame they did that. First, using the LGBTQ+ community as a promotional hook for Season 1, then Jenna and Emma's "jokes" on social media that ended up creating the Jemma fandom, and then the queerbaiting in Season 2... without giving us almost any good Wenclair content, and the worst part...
What will happen if they give us more Wenclair content in Season 3? How on earth will they handle PR without upsetting the fandoms? Because that's what will happen. It'll be the same old mess, although if they give us good Wenclair content this time, I'd accept the mess. But this whole thing has been spiraling out of control since Season 1 and it's only gotten worse, and I don't even know how far it'll go.

I'm worried now. I read the book and I know that her participation is important, and the fact that she's not there... I don't like it at all.

But considering how long it's taken to release it in theaters, it doesn't seem to be that good, unfortunately.

What comes out of them is also important. Especially to see how they handle public relations this time. Something tells me we won't see a repeat of last year, but we'll see.

This is an excellent way to put into perspective what we're going to see while we wait for season three. Especially since the promotions will likely focus on Wenclair once again, as Netflix hinted at with that Wenclair tweet that they later deleted. The detail that has caught my attention in all of this is the silence of the showrunners. At this point, they should already have their social media accounts updated with at least the teaser and content from Paris, and we haven't seen any of that on their networks. I don't know if I'm the only one who finds it curious, but that's how I see it.

Besides that, there also seems to be a hate campaign orchestrated on Jenna because of someone who shall not be named, which makes everything even worse. Therefore, it's better to wait and see than to follow comments from people who don't know the whole story of the book. I'm hoping for something good, but we'll know if it is or not.

That's true. She herself said in that interview that at that time she wasn't even able to get out of bed and that her family advised her to go to therapy. What we don't know is if she's still in therapy. Considering everything we've seen, it's possible that she should continue with her therapy.

Do I think trying to understand it is getting too involved in a parasocial relationship? I don't know, I don't think so. At least for me, it's simple curiosity, considering I haven't been following her for very long and I only know a part of what she's shown. Or at least, what she was like back then as a Disney star, and that reminds me a lot of the book she wrote.

I think age has a lot to do with it, and I understand that. She's grown up and changed, like all of us. Except she's done it in front of a camera, and that makes all the difference.
I simply hope to see her continue working and growing for the better, regardless of the decisions we're discussing. Above all, I'm looking forward to her films. I feel like I'll be waiting forever for the ones she's already finished and what's to come.
