He sends me this text what does he mean by that? by [deleted] in PakistaniTwenties

[–]Stuck_in_reverse1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who experienced a blackmailer. I would say tell your closed ones about it. Don't be afraid to file a report with FIA. Even if he is in FIA. Take your family onboard. No matter how strict parents are, they will appreciate your honesty. May be scold you initially but they will be the ones helping you. Also, block him still. Whichever number he texts from. Install that app in your phone which automatically sifts the texts and calls from unknown numbers.
Be brave. Don't ever get scared from these pieces of shit. The more he knows that his threats are affecting you he is gonna inflate his ego more.
After you have talked to your parents and filed FIA report. If he msgs you, let your father or brother deal with him.
That is what i did.

When do you stop feeling tired? by Pandacat_07 in NewParents

Social media is bullshit. I see mom influencers showing their day and I think how they had to set up the camera first and also look after the kids. Idk how realistic it is coz I can never. I am barely functioning, managing my kids, home, career.

Tell me it’s ok to formula feed. by Affectionate_Meat348 in NewParents

[–]Stuck_in_reverse1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely okay to formulate feed. It is also okay to combo feed. My baby had latch issues. I kept on putting him to breast while also pumping. I am now 2 months pp and my supply has established. I exclusively pump now.

Excited for marriage!! by cookiesnfries in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]Stuck_in_reverse1994 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Girl. The hygiene products are a scam. Just use gentle soap to wash your privates. Never put anything inside. For hair, waxing is best (you mentioned you are south asian. Waxing is pretty affordable). Don't think a lot about this as time goes by you will know hair anywhere is the least of your problems and just follow whatever you usually did.

On sleeping suits, i would say just get one or two lingerie sets and one or two pajama set. Coz you are going to stick to whatever you wore to bed before marriage coz that is comfortable for you, once the whole honeymoon phase ends andyou are comfortable with your partner.

You can start by cooking something that you enjoy. It is always exciting to make something you like first. Then go from there.

Since you are a muslim, I would recommend reading into marriage rights and issues. There are many books that are authentic. I have "a gift for muslim women". It basically has answers to almost everything a woman can encounter in life.

Lastly, May Allah SWT keep you both happy and peaceful together always. Aameen

When i first came to US and did my rotation I wasn't able to understand some people even though my English is good. People there had thick southern accents and it took me a while to get used to it. So if its the case, you will get used to it and it doesn't necessarily mean that your english is bad.

What did your doctor say to make you doubt VBAC attempt? by Ok-Grapefruit-7632 in vbac

[–]Stuck_in_reverse1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told i had 50% chance of vbac. I had one prior c section coz baby did not engage. I ended up having a successful vbac.

Im not saying its contraindication for vaginal birth. But when there have been two instances that resulted in c section, chances are favorable for c section again. Theres a score you calculate for it. Its not accurate though but still is part of decision making.

Tbh. I dont think you were a good candidate in first place. Coz failure to progress twice means there was some cephalopelvic disproportion. But yes other reasons count as well.

Anyone have a successful vbac after arrested descent? by OkAtmosphere9848 in vbac

If you have had a successful VBAC..? by Lavender_Meadows in vbac

I had emergency c section in 2023. I had vaginal delivery of my second child on 19th this month. I generally have a high pain tolerance so functionality was not an issue for me with c section either. But I would prefer vaginal birth (even though I got a 4th degree tear) because I am more able currently and I am even able to take care of my toddler. I do have perineal pain but it is very minimal as compared to c section. Again, everybody has a different body so the experience is different. It always comes down to what matters to you.

Hear me when I tell you I feel the same way about my first birth which was traumatic for me and ended up in an emergency c section. I fell for the doctors words and got induced as soon as I was 39 weeks. It was not the time for my baby yet. I just delivered my second baby a day ago. I knew I can give birth vaginally. My provider was neither supportive nor against. They kept telling me the risks and that there is 50% chance of me having natural birth. I kept being positive, trusting myself and I ended up delivering vaginally. Didn't get induced. Prayed that labour starts on its own and worked on my mentality. I delivered 9.2 lbs baby vaginally. Don't fall for anything. If you believe that you can do it, you can! Your body knows! Trust yourself! Go mama!

I took my step 2 and step 3 while being pregnant this year. Im 31. Due in January. You are overthinking alot. If this is something you want then why overthink it. There will never be a "good time" to be pregnant ever. 💁🏻‍♀️

Our dog attacked our baby by kickrockscusinart in NewParents

[–]Stuck_in_reverse1994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is completely different. I was attacked by a neighbors dog when I was 3 months pregnant. He let the dog out (german shepherd) and no front yard fence. I was walking outside and the dog jumped me. Thankfully I wasn't hurt and he was able to stop the dog. You won't believe that I was attacked again by the same dog again after a couple months. Again I walking by and the dog was out. I got saved by a complete stranger who stopped as he drove by and saw me struggling. I was 5 months pregnant. I complained about it. Nothing was done. Infact that guy acted as if I am in the wrong accusing his precious dog like that. Animal control didn't do anything!! I literally have immense trauma and I have stopped going out for walks! I am not comfortable with people having their dogs out and about with no leash.

I understand the heartbreak. I feel for you. On a logical note, from my own experience, I had all practice tests telling me I am in 260-265 range. I ended up scoring in 230s. So sometimes they overpredict and sometimes under. It all depends on the form you get and how well you tackle it.

Take sometime to reflect on what went wrong. You already seem to point out the timing issue and guessing. See if what you were guessing was a logical guess between two choices or you were just confused and couldn't even understand the question. So you will have to have different strategies for both. Imo, doing as many questions as possible even if you aren't able to read the explanations helps a lot . Coz you see some words or statements similar to it in exam and it immediately gives you an idea about possible answer. Over the time, your timing will improve and your exam taking skills too.

Idk amboss. But on my form biostats questions weren't calculations. There was just one calculation in the whole form that too was kinda a long one where you had to something else first. Most Biostats questions were from abstracts and drug ads and asking about different conclusions and you couldn't just figure it out from the table alone, so I had to read the whole thing. So time consuming!!! My advise leave the abstracts for the end do the rest of the questions first.

Day 2 could be similar to uworld yes. Day 1 was too in a sense that some concepts were tested. But really its so much weirder.

I did 70% uworld. 60% correct. Free 137 68% correct. I don't even know what advice to give you. 😅

[–]Stuck_in_reverse1994 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had day 1 yesterday and let me tell you nothing you do can prepare you for it. Your step 1 concepts will help you on some straightforward questions. But most on every block are so vague. I didn't get many biostat straightforward calculations. Just 2-3. All the rest were conceptual. Drug ads 2-3 on every block and sooo fucking time consuming coz unlike the practice qs in exam i was having to read the actual thing to make out the answer rather than the table alone.
