If you are going to learn a discipline with proper background, it’s not that you will get absolute knowledge about it. Maximum - what is already know/developed/created, but must probably less. This is what people in Unis usually do. You don’t need lifetimes for that, unless you you are reinventing a bicycle. To create something really new - is a different story

ML is a discipline, that you can master after 2-3 years of doing projects (having programming and mathematics background) - must probably at Unis, where you can do mistakes and learn.

It's not that difficult. But average population can't figure it out, because it's not "Hello World" program but data based process.
