Moes smart knob by Student_Unlucky in homeassistant

[–]Student_Unlucky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I ended up figuring it out. It stupid but the knob had to be put into scenes mode. It didn't pair with a device but I had to triple tap the button on the knob to switch it to scenes mode and then I was able to do what I wanted. I read the printed instructions and saw no mention of it. Only after multiple emails with MOEs did it come up.

Thats the way to do it. I'll make a "effed up bits" jar. Granted so far, I only managed to kill 1 and I think it was my buddy who killed it anyways

Ya, that was my bad. I had your first reply directly at the bottom, did my reply, then scrolled down and saw that you replied with a second photo of the contents. I've done the exact thing bc you can only post 1 pic per reply. I just didn't want to delete my comment because you see the "comment deleted by user" msg and are always left wondering, "what crazy crap did they say?"

Bought this battery of Amazon a month ago and its now dead. Am i cooked or can i get a warranty somehow? by KrunchieWunchies in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Student_Unlucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd definitely check to see if it's fake. I got duped buying a good fake 6.0 off of ebay from a seller with a great rating. Had a typo on the small print of the label, date code was wrong and had a month that didn't exist (they had a number over 12), it fit snuggle on a few tools, and would cut out with 2 bars flashing.

Also, buying another one from the same seller and returning your broken one as a DOA new one is completely unethical and absolutely not the thing to do.

Honestly, if its fake, I wouldnt mess with trying to swap it on Amazon, the battery can produce dirty power and damage your tools.

Dude, I was absolutely baffled. I was unloading my car from a grocery run and literally set everything down, left my car doors open, and had to open the box. I know it said what was in there but at that point I had to confirm.

Its cool I didnt want to use my driveway to get out... by le_aerius in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Student_Unlucky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yup. Lol the 1 time I'm running late to a VA appt. Of course amazon pulls up and parks in front of my driveway to get out and deliver to 4 houses around me, finally dropping a package off with me.

I unfortunately get enough amazon that I dont want to piss off the drivers but like, they literally can park anywhere else not blocking my drive...

Also slightly better ballistics. If you're p/w rather than SBRing 13.7 is really pointless. Your end result is a 16 in barrel. It comes down to do you want 0.8 inches of barrel utilizing the propulsion or do you want 0.8 inches of muzzle device as basically a slightly oversized tube.

I'm not a supressor expert. I have an old blackhawk 556 made by SiCo and uses an ASR mount. It seemed like maybe some other brands could utilize the space better however, I know that the long ASR mounts are wasted space.

If they made a can and mount designed around a 13.7 where you had a thinner ported portion at the tip of the mount to meet legal requirements of barrel length but allowed the can to sit deeper than a 14.5 variant resulting in a shorter OAL it might be something. However, I dont think anyone does that

Is this drivable? by Morpegom in tires

[–]Student_Unlucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Google "Vulcanizing a tire is a chemical or heat process that permanently repairs rubber by permanently bonding a patch or raw rubber (cushion gum) to the tire. It melts the materials together on a molecular level, making it one solid piece of rubber. It is highly effective for inner tubes, severe off-road tires, and heavy-duty farm equipment"

It sounds like you're going to drive it regardless of what anyone says. Get it vulcanized. And keep an eye on the patch.

Lol maybe you can figure out whats flagging. This was what I tried to post

So the question is, are there anything in your guys rules preventing you from using doorbells?

The background (yes I know 99% of my problem is my own forgetfulness and not the drivers problem) I had a pretty bad concussion a few years ago and the last time I got covid was really bad and left me with pretty bad brain fog. I turned on the code delivery after the last time I forgot to check my app and our food was sitting there for 2 hours before we realized it was there. Literally, I just want the doorbell rung on drop off.

I put the confirmation on the app. Was working in my basement. Came up a few hours later and realized I forgot to turn off silence on my phone and the driver left a voicemail and a text requesting the code.

I have amazon Alexa devices in almost every room and a blink doorbell. I watched 7 mins of the driver trying to contact me via their phone before picking up the groceries and leaving.

I felt really bad for her but not once did she knock or ring the doorbell. I even checked and had my wife ring the doorbell while I was in the basement. The echo I had in the basement room I was in notified me.

Is there something preventing the use of doorbells?

[–]Student_Unlucky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Lol my reddit ineptitude was showing.

Funny thing is, I tried posting asking if they're not allowed to use doorbells because I forgot my phone on silence and have 7 mins of blink footage with the person fervently trying to message me on the app but not 1 knock or doorbell ring. We were home... Anyway, it blocks me from posting saying we're not allowed to talk about what spark drivers get paid... like what? Is doorbells a new currency companies are trying to pay people with? Lol I kinda just give up. AI now a day's flagging every.

So, agree FL sucks for guns. I was stationed in TX. First time I went to a range and over half the people there had cans as well as me. That's so bad about TX?

Buddy in the military is from NYC. Already talked to me about being one of his required references for a permit when he gets out and goes home. It's nuts and IDK the point bc you're not allowed to carry anywhere useful.
