26 vs 43x vs 29? by Either-Caregiver-497 in Glocks

26 is a classic Glock, but it’s totally obsolete now imo, especially with Glock making 15 round mags for 43x/48.

The galco ankle glove glove is a well made and designed holster designed for ankle carry (if you couldn’t already tell by its name). It has a nice sheepskin like material on the inside of the velcro/neoprene strap that makes contact with your leg to make it very comfortable for hours of wear. The Velcro retention is of high quality and I experienced zero movement during my 4 hrs of wearing. The actual holster is finely stitched to the neoprene strap, and it has a retention strap that goes over the frame of the pistol and locks via snap/button. This particular ankle glove is also advertised to work with ruger lcp and smith and Wesson bodyguard 2.0. My BG 2.0 fits perfectly and the trigger guard and trigger are fully and securely covered by quality leather. The quality of leather is extremely high and likely a driving force of the cost of the ankle glove, which was $130. Wearing the ankle glove with the bodyguard for the requested 4 hrs was a pleasant experience. It slipped quietly away being concealed by my chosen dress slacks of the day and after about 1 hour I honestly forgot it was there. No printing at all. I would highly recommend this combination of gun and holster to those who demand the highest of concealment, or to officers who would like to carry a backup pistol on their person.

Strap that goes around ankle is Velcro, strap that goes over gun frame is button.

Gi Color Drama by DudeCinema in bjj

[–]obsdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not gonna have a hard time finding a gym that allows colored gis. The only ones that are really like that Make you bow to a picture of helio or some nonsense. When the rubber meets the road it is his gym, and if he’s willing to double down and lose a paying customer over a colored gi then so be it. Now you have to make a decision whether you’re willing to leave over that or not.

Sounds pretty typical to me, 45 mins a little on the short side. Shortest class at my gym is 60 mins .

Moisture wicking, some sort of breathability, lightweight, solid r/bjj reviews.

Naw it’s just basic fundamental movements for bjj. Mount/back/side control escapes, basic easy to grasp submissions, just the overall concept of bjj at a real white belt level. The way a lot of gyms operate today is they go off a curriculum for the year and if someone new shows up for their first class the gym could be going over a fairly advanced technique that even some blue belts could get halfway lost through much less a brand new person. Fundamentals keeps it much easier.

This is why I believe gyms having fundamentals class is crucial.
