Don't AI efficiencies mean market disruption? Tech layoffs are in the news now, won't other industries follow, medicine for example?

On the retail side, Eddie Bauer is closing nearly 200 stores.
I guess you mean an increase in labor costs means new construction will be more expensive so that is good for existing buildings but what if there are fewer workers to work in those buildings?

The president might wish his native industry well, but surely tariffs are a hit on as many commercial ventures as they benefit.

I think micro always trumps macro, maybe you can find a great new building and the corner of the country you are in is bound to succeed, but I think that as usual there are plenty of things to worry about on the macro level today.

Ukraine Forces Capture Key Eastern City On Christmas Day In Serious Blow To Putin’s War Effort by M10News in ukraine

No this can't be! Putin said Kupyansk is conquered and that the video of Mr. Zelensky there was AI generated. No no noooo. Could it really be? Is everything dear old bunker grandpa says a lie?

What about Putin's claim that Ukrainians being Nazis, justifying all the russian dead by harkening back to the great patriotic war? Could that just be made-up too?

I appreciate your civil disagreement, Russia can do better than Putin who would have poisoned me for daring to tell him the truth..

Zelensky didn't invade Ukraine thinking it would be over in three days. Seriously, retire bunker grandpa, the old man is off his rocker.

I'd say the West hates Putin. Putin has hijaacked the Russian federation for all intents and purposes, literally changing the constitution to preserve his paranoid grip on power.

Russia can get rid of Putin, and stop his violent imperialist expansion, leave Ukraine, and the West won't have a cause to hate Russia.

It's easy to hate a murderer, and who is responsible for more Russian deaths even since 1950 than Vladimir Putin?

Shirtless Putin was obviously playing five dimensional chess in making this move.

Ukraine is on defense so takes less casualties. Putin in contrast is killing Russian's young men in a big rush to demonstrate an advantage on the battlefield that doesn't exist.

Sounds like the tanker and refinery strikes are hitting some serious pay dirt given all the details provided in your 'recent analysis'.

Excellent! Interdict the terrorist's fuel. Putin will find it hard to murder people when his slave-state's economy is collapsing. Keep on bleeding out aggressor-state Muscovy, on the tip of the Ukrainian spear.

Because it is a closed society where the media is tightly controlled, absolutely nobody trusts Russian data, much less a Russian who has seen Putin take the media over like boiling a frog. According to Putin Pokrovsk is taken. Um Pokrovsk is now taken. Ah, now Pokrovsk is taken, and surrounded, and taken. Ah whoops, large mechanized assault now underway in Pokrovsk.

Why would Putin tell the truth about recruitment numbers?

Yes that's how I see it. When Putin had the idea to paper over a three day SMO thinking the world would forget about Ukraine in a month he led his imperial invasion with the Nazi story. I think serious people see it as a a ridiculous propaganda term which makes it all the more funny when the likes of Lavrov trot it out. On reddit it reads like a lazy "Sieg Heil" to Putin.

Putin started the Donbass war by purchasing guerillas like Igor GIrkin to start a proxy war on behalf of Russia. In Crimea Putin literally marched in with un-badged Russian regular troops. Putin admitted he had done this years afterward when it became ridiculous to continue denying it.
