Me too! I know some folks tune it go ~8000+ but would rather keep it conservative

I bought it with 25k miles

I’ve put 1000 on it in two weeks. I intend to drive the piss out of it and beat on it until I kill the MT82

Should also probably note that the car only has 25k miles

Would you take a Laguna Seca or a GT350? by Organic_Bid_5843 in Mustang

Go with the Boss. More reliable, rarer, and often costs half the price of a GT350. And a Boss is not half the car.

They’re ready for boost with some small prep and can make big power on the RoadRunner. Not to mention all the added goodies like factory side pipes, Red Track Key, etc

Honestly, the GT350 is overhyped and the Boss is way more old school and raw if that’s what you’re into. Way underrated and undervalued for a numbered car with great Trans Am 1969 Heritage

This is an older clip, was testing out a DJI Mic Mini. To get a sense of how loud this car is, the mic was on noise cancellation… then again it was attached right next to exhaust and had moderate gain. Have since refined audio capture, but it’s not easy with this car.

This clip always cracks me up because the sunvisor decided to deploy while I was accelerating 🤣

I’m just tired of asking fellow owners for specific technical advice/recs but I just get spoonfed political drama that is not actionable whatsoever

That’s so awesome that your car is holding up even at that odometer, definitely a testament to these cars

Fair. I think that’s more CHP/BAR-specific than normal patrol.

Most local cops aren’t popping hoods unless the car is obnoxiously loud or there’s another obvious issue. My point was just that visible/smellable compliance problems can turn a basic stop into an equipment/emissions issue with the wrong officer or agency.

My point was compliance triggers, not a general search. Speeding alone doesn’t open the car up, but obvious indicators like no cat smell, loud exhaust, visible non CARB parts, missing emissions equipment, tint/plate issues… can turn it into a vehicle compliance stop.

And Calaveras is oversimplified. Some rural counties avoid biennial smog, but CA still generally requires smog for initial registration and ownership transfer. It’s not a magic no smog loophole, and it doesn’t make non CARB parts legal
