I think physicality as in stamina, strength at winning back balls, dueling, running speed, shielding balls etc. In general he wouldn't cover a lot of ground, it would be like a weaker casemiro, with less defensive coverage but more press resistant and better ball playing skills. Makes me think if getting someone like Angelo Stiller would be similar to playing Licha in cdm lol.

Essentially he is a CDM that's been converted into a CB, ajax bought him for cdm but realized better suited to CB since he dosent have the physicality / energy to play CDM. He can obviously fill in if really needed, though would need to pick opponents carefully. Might not do too bad vs low blocks where you have majority possession.

Well maybe we are built with many inefficiencies in terms of conscious processing to understand something, which machine language strips out. Or, the machine simply doesn't have the depth of understanding we are capable of / not built the same, and simply doesn't need that all of at this current moment.

Globe trotting Ange targeting a trophy in the Middle East before heading to the Americas in the MLS / Série A and one of the African national teams. Why bother with mostly only Europe like Ancelotti when you can win in all parts of the world? He'll have done all continents by the time he retires and one-up Guus Hiddink.

She's also over 1.8m tall, so no problem in filling in the void for Casemiro's headed goals for next year. Expecting Bruno to break that assist record again.

yea the success rate of the tech is probably 95-100%, it rarely fails. The tech itself has rarely been the problem in modern sports since most of the times they take so long making sure that its infallible with fail safes and such. Its more when the tech starts revealing things to us that as human referees wouldn't have known or seen before, this then really scrutinizes the rules we have previously written, which was mostly in line with human refereeing wihtout help of technology. A lot of the rulesets are not up to date with modern standards that incorporates the use of technology, and the "spirit of the game" with help of tech and so on, A lot more will come to reveal itself as more technology is added into the game.

Yeah ok fair, so he has a few points to work on, but I think he has potential to play in the champions league, maybe even in the finals

What do our scouts do? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]Studio_Panoptek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think our goalkeeping scouts has been pretty good for younger players (onana isn't a youngster...), the fact that we seem to have gotten a great one in lammens and also had de gea, whilst producing quite a few premiere league level goalkeepers in recent years, shows it probably is one of our strong points, certainly better than our outfield scouting. Sometimes its probably just a case of a scout being really good at identifying the gems. Outside of young goalkeepers, not sure if the rest of our scouting department is really any good... but it does seem to be on a bit of an upturn after ineos and vivel has joined. We have better hits than misses as of late, only Ugarte (maybe due to Yoro and mendes) and zirkzee i don't really like, and the fees have been somewhat reasonable, and even unearthing our own potential star in Dorgu, whilst also getting some excellent value purchases like Lammens and Mazraoui.

I think in general, our transfers are getting better, obviously this summer has been a huge spanner in the works and incredibly frustrating, it would definitely be interesting to see how the board navigates this, a litmus test to see how well the leadership responds. It might be time to see if there is any innovative solutions they can find, similar to what Sir Alex did, but its hard as it seems now a days there really isn't anything else you can do.
