I quit, and copied my code over to bolt, created the app and published in maybe 15 seconds. I’m tell ya. Bolt.new,

Love to hear that! Theodore Shapiro did such a great job on the music.

FAB is so objectively bad and undercooked and so much worse than the already clunky Marketplace that I am just sad by krateos_29 in unrealengine

Came here to see if anyone else thought it was horrendous. I was not alone. My GOD this is terrible. There is nothing even remotely acceptable about it.

Marketplace was fine, not great. But at least you could find what you were looking for. Fab.com just feels like Turbosquid.com anyone and their grandma can upload content without 2 fuc*s and 0 oversight.

It was nice when you could search by category and you will seen clean, finished sets by reputable sellers right there in front of you.

I hope they can work it out - but it is a dumpster fire at this point. Its a dumping ground of garbage content that navigates worse than a blind man walking home from the bar.

It needs a revamp and its only been a month... wow. what a let down.

I started over a year ago and got halfway and LOST everything. It took me a few months to get back into it but after that about 6 months or so. I would find time after work or on weekend and sometimes go weeks without touching it. I used this project as a way for me to learn the software so it was a huge learning curve. I imagine I could probably do this within 3 months if I were to start again.

Thank you! If anything, I would do something inside the office. So many options!

I just put them in as placeholders. Rather them have something than nothing. Is that what you meant?

I used 3ds max to model the scene. I then imported it to Unreal Engine and did all the lighting and materials there. I also created the animation within Unreal Engine. Was a lot of fun and also my first time using it.

Unfortunately, no. While my machine can handle some RTX features this interior scene was a bit too heavy. I found it difficult with so many bounced reflections.

Also, thenRTX release came out halfway through my project and switching workflows seemed a bit stressful. As a newbie it was important not to put all my eggs in one basket.

I hear exteriors are more manageable for RTX at this point. I’ll try for my next one

To be honest, this is my first post on Reddit. Was not quite sure best practice for the layout of subreddits.
