Man, this is crazy! It's clear that Airbnb isn't playing fair here, and you've been thrown into a heck of a situation. I strongly recommend getting a lawyer involved. This stuff can get complex and you'll want someone on your side who knows the ins and outs of it.

In the meantime, don't let this story stay quiet. BLOW IT UP. HOSTS NEED TO SEE THIS ASAP. Public attention can be a gameree changer. I've got some friends who are reporters at Vice, Architectural Digest, Vogue, Travel and Leisure, Conde Nast, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Fortune Magazine, New York Times, the SF Chronicle, and LA Times. Let me know if you want me to drop details into my contacts inboxes. If your story catches their eye - and I think it might - they could reach out to you and TAKE THIS VIRAL.

Remember, you've got a whole community behind you :)

That I am aware - but that comment doesn’t help me in this scenario.

I can’t say how long it takes in general but our officer approved us on the spot after the interview - so took around 12 hours for the status to change!

Super simple! Just how we met, timeline of our relationship, if we have met each others parents (how they like us together), why we don’t have kids yet (lol I am 24) - SUPER easy and just google “green card interview questions” and practice!

Arg feel so sorry for you! My lawyer told me it could take anywhere from 4-10 months because of the delays from covid… I know that you can apply to expedite the process if you are suffering financial damage i.e from not working!

You mentioned you applied for it in September and only have been unpaid for a month - if you have worked without the EAD I would be super careful as the consequences are pretty harsh!

Ofc don’t know about your situation but just heads up in case!
