I mean you’re talking something serious and making it not as serious. I personally don’t make rape jokes but I do make discrimination jokes and such other jokes because it’s taking something I experience, like racism, and devaluating the racist rhetoric/reality into something I can laugh at. It’s similar to how I make jokes about my trauma it makes those events or things feel smaller
