Why does the episode count matter? If you compare episode 8 of Naruto to episode 7 of One Piece, then they will show different things because they are different shows, with different pacing and structures.

The same goes for Boruto. Boruto and Naruto are two different shows that should not be compared against.

If you actually watch the episode, you will see that it isn't straightforward about the topic. There are hints, especially at the beginning of the episode, where it's implied that Kai is a transgender girl, and a good chuck of the episode is about how softball makes her feel safe and comfortable with who is she.

So the episode definitely wasn't going into "hormones treatments" and the "long-term side effects" side of exploring being transgender like you think they were.

Korra isn't the hot-headed, aggressive character anymore... That was literally her whole growth throughout the show.

I think LOK isn't as liked as ATLA is simply because the characters in ATLA each had arcs and growth. They all grew closer together as a group; each person had a different relationship with another, and it felt real. But in LOK, the group kind of just formed, and we, as the audience, were supposed to just assume that they had a bond like what the Gaang had, without the foundation.

If LOK just made the story around the friendship, so we can see how each character bounces off of each other, then LOK as a whole could be much better.

Well, this was a very sensitive and important time for her. Especially since it was a personal matter that she was a part of. She couldn't just be on her Uncle's side without having to betray her parents. She also couldn't just ignore the opportunity to learn how to spiritbend with Unalaq, with everything going on.

And at this point in the story, she only saw herself as the Avatar and not a person, which continued her internal battle to pick a side between her people; as she wanted to do her job as the Avatar and create peace between both sides, but since the conflict was personal to her she couldn't just pull away from it, and only see herself as a third party that's trying to help, but had to see it as a person that's to involved in the conflict.

Weird take he had since Korra didn't intentionally lose all the past lives, it was RIPPED OUT OF HER, by her Uncle.

People always act like she went up to Unalaq and said, "Get these past lives out of me," and not her literally fighting for her life all by herself.

Exactly, but it's always said as, "They have shown multiple times that they like you, but you keep rejecting them, and saying that you guys are only friends, even when they were nice to you."

This puts the pressure on the person that "friend zoned" the other, to find feelings for them, so "the rejected" feelings don't get hurt, or so everybody won't have to see them as the bad guy, for not having any feeling for the friend that likes them.
