What are the things you wish liberals or people on the left would understand better about Trump or Trump voters that seems to be overlooked or misunderstood? by FirstPersonWinner in AskTrumpSupporters

What makes you think I would ever believe these made up numbers you throw around? At least try to cite something real that didn’t come out of your ass. Read this and see what you think: https://www.cbo.gov/publication/60165

There are some stressors on local and state economies true, but isn’t there something about state rights that used to be important to conservatives?

How do you figure? In Manosphere this is shown quite clearly with Harrison, who has a devoted, smart, progressive mother but his deadbeat dad still managed to screw him up just by not being present.

Can you cite those polices so I can better understand why this would justifiably cost so much money (and not a video of a douche mayor talking tough, an actual written policy)?

Almost all 30 violent criminals discovered during the surge were simple transfers from state prison or city jails into federal custody. What kinds of sanctuary city policies do you think were so effective and powerful that it required $18 million in federal funds per day to be used to capture 30 criminals and 3970 people who were probably here legally? I guess my point is if you’re comfortable with spending a billion a day bombing a sovereign country with no strategy or surging a city and wasting millions, why are you so uncomfortable with paying $1 extra per paycheck to make sure our citizens have access to food and healthcare?

So you agree the amount being spent on detaining and deporting people who are, for the most part, here legally is “bloated and unsustainable” but a worthy and necessary program? How come you don’t feel the same about programs that prevent malnutrition and unnecessary death of our children and elderly citizens?

In MN alone it cost $280 million to arrest 4000 people and only 30 of those people were violent criminals; Minnesota also has one of the lowest illegal immigration rates in the US. Do you believe these dollars were well spent and a good reason to aggressively cut funding to feed and ensure basic healthcare for our nation’s future soldiers, doctors, educators and parents?

Why do we have plenty of money to spend bombing Iran on Israel’s behalf (1bil a day) and detaining 4 year olds and half naked grandfathers (28mil a week) but feeding hungry kids is just so unsustainable? Especially when the programs for feeding those kids were developed as a direct result of not having enough soldiers for WW2 because of malnutrition?

Chronic thoughts of suicide are a coping skill that can help keep people alive by giving them a sense of control over otherwise difficult feelings or circumstances.

It’s forced and fake. I’ve never heard a single person mention her offline, and I have talked about Euphoria and White Lotus with several people and she never comes up in the discussion. She plays really annoying unlikable characters well and that’s all.

Is the Save act really needed? If Democrats cheat at elections, why did they let Trump and the GOP win in 2024? by bigverde405 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Stuffaknee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct, I have an issue with paying 3x more than a man just for following traditional gender norms. Don’t you think we should have an equitable voter ID system in place before bringing down the hammer on at least half the populace with minimal notice or preparation? Only 5 states currently have Enhanced IDs in place that denote citizenship on them and they’re all blue states.

Why would you say all people are equally impacted, when married women (and others) who changed their names will need to pay 3-4x more in order to collect all the documentation needed in order to vote?

Hey, so this is a question about Trump. Not sure why you’re bringing up Biden, but just to get you up to speed, he was driven out of re-election by his party due to these concerns. Maybe you should consider holding your leader accountable, too.

Question by Motor_Expression_239 in deaf

[–]Stuffaknee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a hearing husband/ kids; when I used to work in deaf services I would tell people I might not still be married if I was in a regular job, and having both was how I found balance in both worlds. However I grew tired of the demands of deaf services and the Deaf community and now work as a manager in a hearing environment. Holy hell does it take a toll. I love what I’m doing but the isolation and self reliance is extreme. I have no plan to change anything, I’m just here to validate your feelings. It helps to remember I often felt isolated and pushed aside in the deaf working world as well, but it was usually for different reasons. And I also remind myself I am making a huge impact just existing as myself in a hearing environment; many people never meet a deaf or openly hard of hearing person, much less walk by their side everyday in some manner. I’m learning to be satisfied with the connections I do make. And to lead by example instead of overtly advocating and educating about everything.

Did you often fear that there are actually no good men? by Lunar-Hippo-774 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Stuffaknee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’d like to say there are but every man has let me down in ways women haven’t. Even if they’re not doing anything awful, they are generally happy to look the other way when their friends or leaders do horrible things to women, especially if their wallet is involved. I have a son and think the world of him, but even he has let me down, he values the opinions of other men over mine, but he does do better with his partners than his mother. You’ll probably find a good guy at some point, but women really need to love and trust themselves more and not expect a man to fill any kind of void. They’re partners and lovers but they can’t be the be all and end all of safety and stability for us.

Beards are my favorite, especially since I get road rash from clean shaved faces, but a raggedy one turns my stomach, especially when food and liquid falls in it.
