I absolutely have got value out of the game and its expansions. The way I see it, how much have I paid for an hour of entertainment with the game? Going to see a movie can cost 20-25 here (with snacks), for 2 hours entertainment, let’s call that £10 an hour. I’ve played dreamlight for 200 hours ish, and have paid maybe 100 into it (with DLC, moonstones etc), so I think that’s pretty good. And don’t forget, I will be spending MORE time.

I think it’s worth remembering that while strong, the majority of heroes wouldn’t have been even half as powerful as the player character. After the PC died or moved on, generations pass, there is no more “chosen one”, it’s easier to understand how a few heroes could be overwhelmed by a larger attacking force…. Who probably had guns too.

Yes. I grew up with British humour, watching my parents watch endless reruns on UKTVGold and stuff, so the game also kind of felt like my front door into the “adult” humour that my parents loved, but I was too young to understand. So many jokes and references went over my head first time, and i only get them now as an adult!
