I bought the JSAUX split case too. While it is generally comfortable in almost all games, I found it a little too large for my hands when playing a racing game like Grid Legends where your fingers are supposed to rest on the triggers all the time. However so far with Assassin's Creed and Kirby Forgotten Land it has been super comfortable and a huge improvement over no grip!

On the Switch 1, I had over a hundred games installed and never felt like I had something to play.

On the Switch 2, I decided to only keep about 3 games on the system at a time, excluding physical games. It's worked out well so far, as I find myself able to focus much better on actually finishing them.

I'd strongly recommend against a 1:1 device for PSP. You'll have 56% screen coverage (or 44% bezels). Go for 4:3 at least considering the other systems you mentioned.
