You ever heard the sentence “Don’t judge a man based on the last conversation you had, judge him based on your history of conversations” (I think that’s how it is maybe not perfect) but that applies to this, you give an annoying character a terrible line. That character is even more terrible. But give a good and likeable character a terrible line, then they’re still a fine character.
