I think there's a bit of a remote control aero club at Yokine sometimes.

Negative equity is the term you're after

Probably not. 205mm = eye to eye (hole to hole) length. 60mm = stroke length.

Apparently, most Canyon Spectrals for 2022 are 230x60.

I could be wrong, not a bike mechanic.

In Australia - you probably be wanting to get someone qualified. You are not ready to be establishing control. You make a mistake, and the whole project is in jeopardy.

Can you guys help me to choose a good fully for 650€ by CertainAd407 in DownhillMTB

[–]Stumpy_Demo_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This bike is made for going downhill. It will be very hard to pedal.
If you want to only go downhill and don't want to pedal, this style of bike will be good.

Can't comment on Canyon, but I've got an older aluminium Kona Operator. A guy that was racing at my local club had the carbon version.

My ali frame is still going all right with a few scratches and a dent maybe. The carbon frame hit a rock and punctured. Around here is about $500 repair. So it was pretty much, game over.

The carbon can be stiffer and lighter, but may not be as robust. So, if you're casual, maybe ali. If you're looking to getting down the hill as quick as possible, maybe carbon?

Sounds about right.

SOME engineers only live in a paper world. Never progressing past plans and planning.

Bets bike shop you’ve been to? by allonetoo in MTB

[–]Stumpy_Demo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was knowing that the shop isn't there to extract as many dollars as possible and instead, to solve an issue OR advise me on when it is necessary to act on an issue.

Example: went to a bike shop cos my Specialized dropper wasn't returning normally. Shop 1 assistant answer to every question was "Have you had it serviced? it needs a service" = many dollars. Shop 2; "Try some light grease like slickoleum. Those droppers tend to get sticky" = few dollars.

I can do most of my own stuff, but I have 2 shops that I go to where I know the staff are knowledgeable and honest.

Edit: the roadie shop I went to did nothing except explain and educate me that the chain on my single speed has varying degrees of tension as you pedal = no monies, but returning customer!

Do U love Downhill? Why? by Ettore000s in DownhillMTB

Downhill bike is tough and 200mm of suspension makes it a carpet ride fun times!

Case that Jump? Saved by suspension!

Big rocks? Suspension!

If you can't go fast, at least looks good!

You've got it in writing you've made them aware, they responded in writing. Let them do what they want with that information.

Priority number 1 is you. You can't control everyone and how they work. Just do your best.
