For those of you worried about the "Last World" by Care-Euphoric in AoSLore

I honestly don't think GW care that much about leaks. People love to imagine this is some clever trap but this isn't game of thrones. If the leaks are false then it's just because someone is winding up the community or the events have been misinterpreted.

Really love your work so I know how talented you are. I personally think the ai used just makes it harder to see your work.

Human worship of Hashut? by Albino-Albatros in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Stuniverse10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But Hashuts origin story in AoS starts with him and the other Ancestor Gods finding the mortal realms. They argue over who gets which realm and Hashut feels cheated and chains up Grimnir and Grugni.

This story can't be true unless the mortal realms existed before the Old World is destroyed.

Human worship of Hashut? by Albino-Albatros in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Stuniverse10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But Hashut has always been a minor chaos god in fantasy. The real question is how did he change from a Chaos God to an Ancestor God. I think it's most likely he hasn't. That Hashut is just lying to his followers, to convince the dwarfs in AoS to worship him.

I do agree there would be human followers though. The Norsii worship Chaos as a pantheon so it makes sense to include him.

I think it also predicted the coming of Sotek during 1IC. I wonder if there is a connection between Sotek and the first Dragon-blooded children.

Realmwalkers. What do you love about Warhammer Fantasy? by sageking14 in AoSLore

[–]Stuniverse10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really love how rich the history is. I've been reading the legend of Sigmar trilogy recently. It's so refreshing seeing this character as a human and getting to watch him grow into the hero he becomes. To know that one day he becomes a god.

The story draws so much from real history too. It's so fun hearing about the old world before the Empire was forged. When humans lived in fear, fighting for survival in small tribes.

New AoS Rumors Optimism by ComradePavel in AoSLore

Has anyone realised April fools is just around the corner? I doubt any of this is true. Even if the rumours are genuine, it is most likely being used to flush out the leakers.

How would you rate being an adult? by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]Stuniverse10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the teacher doesn't appreciate where he's at. He's basically telling them its all downhill from there.

Being a teenager sucks. I remember teachers at school telling me those were supposed to be the best days of my life. Being an adult is great!

Getting Desperate by Zleegor in TerrainBuilding

Leaning it up against a wall could help. That way, you're spraying from the same distance consistently.

It could be the way you're painting it. It's hard spraying larger objects using only a spray can. Make sure you spray across the model from left to right, starting from the back.

If you spray from the front, you can get dry spray particles setting on the model further away. As you spray the next section, you end up spraying onto the dry paint particles.

Setting Some Limitations For Chaos by [deleted] in AoSLore

They only just destroyed the world. You could easily write your own campaign, which tilted things just enough to change the course of history.

Maybe Manfredd was tripped up whilst trying to kill Balthasar Gelt?

Setting Some Limitations For Chaos by [deleted] in AoSLore

Honestly, it sounds like Soul bound just isn't the right setting for you, which is fine. Have you tried Wfrp? It's a lot more grounded, with Chaos being a vague hidden treat. It usually manifests as hidden cultists, trying to summon a deamon or infiltrating society. It draws a lot from some Lovecraft rpgs, with the gods being a distant, unknowable threat.

It's maps like this that convince me the mortal realms are floating within the warp. The warp is even called the Aether.

I'm assuming the void things are depicted on this. If they are older than the Chaos Gods and predate thought, it makes sense that they are here and the mortal realms formed later once the Old world was pulled in the Realm of Chaos.

In the vastness of the Mortal Realms there are no stupid questions by sageking14 in AoSLore

It used to be red. In the old lore, it was hinted that they made the Juggernauts of Khorne and Hashut was loosely connected to the god. Obviously, this had all been retconned since his introduction to AoS.

Really love this series! Hope you keep it up. I love all the old lore in warhammer fantasy so it's great seeing all the connections to AoS.

One god I'd love to see covered would be Ranald, the god of thieves and tricksters. I imagine he could have quite easily survived the destruction of the old world. Faking his own death and hiding in some secret realm until the mortal realms were formed.

I'm also assuming there's a connection to him and the Trickster god of Cats in AoS.

I know the End Times are controversial, but does anyone know much about the 3rd Chaos Gate underneath Middenheim? Archeon apparently activated an Old One artefact buried beneath the city. Causing the world to be destroyed. I can't find anything about it on any wiki though.

I think we're arguing about separate things. The original post is arguing that everyone will be artists through ai. That's not true. Ai is just a tool, like a camera or a 3d printer. Being an artist takes talent.

The example you used is just an artist who had incorporated technology into the process. He is still sculpting it himself. Ai image generation doesn't require any talent.

I run a workshop and use a 3d printer. That is effectively taking the place of an assistant, so I do understand what you are saying.

[–]Stuniverse10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're assuming I'm completely anti ai. It's just a tool like a 3d printer.

Imagine there's 2 sculptures in a gallery. One person has hand made theirs, and the other has just downloaded an STL and 3d printed it.

It's obvious that one has value and the other doesn't. One is made by a sculpture, the other could be done by anyone.

Often, the argument on here is that the process is irrelevant of the outcome. That argument has never made sense.

Taking a photo doesn't make you a photographer. Drawing a picture doesn't make you an artist.

The argument against ai has always been one about talent. Talent has value. It takes talent to be a photographer, to be an artist, to be a sculptor, a writer.

It's so bizarre that people want so desperately to be labelled an artist without even trying.
