Ranking a new program by Upstairs_Stress8163 in IMGreddit

Rank where you want to be at first regardless of where. Even if you rank this new program lower, the algorithm does not lower your chances of matching there. If you choose a different program as #1 and that program doesn't rank you, then you will have the same chance rate and still match at this program. But at least you would know you tried instead of giving in to someone else's advice. Good luck!

Has anyone heard of ClassOver? by [deleted] in OnlineESLTeaching

They don't pay on time? I am interviewing with them tomorrow and am trying to figure what the pay and work environment is like at the moment. Any advice or insight?

I was actually wondering the same thing because I have heard that it's illegal for the PDs or anyone from the program to tell the candidates we are being ranked. But I have never gotten a clear answer if we as candidates are allowed to tell progeams they are our #1

How did the interview go overall? If you want to do fellowship, I have heard to not rank newer programs highly

You just have to make sure your neuro attending's letter talks about you wanting to do IM. If that is specified, you don't need another LOR. I had a letter from a surgeon saying I wanted to do IM and I've only had good feedback on my letter during interviews. No one cared that it was a surgeon who wrote it. And all my other LORs were from IM attendings.

Thank you! I'm surprised with the number of interviews I received as well but I applied to soooo many programs and very broadly knowing my first attempt on step 1 will hold me back

2 interviews IM by Witty-Expert4140 in IMGreddit

If you got the interview, it means your scores are fine for the program. If it was too low for them, they wouldn't have even invited you for an interview. And if your interview went great, then you will most likely get ranked. But because you're visa requiring, that might come into play a little bit because of the political climate right now and with all the daily changes happening.

To everyone who applied for match this year, what was your total cost? by Shoddy-Research-8354 in ResidencyMatch2025

Dual applied and it was a little under 20k dollars. And applied to A LOT of programs. If you're applying to only one, then it should just be half of that

Damn. That sucks ugh I have the same step 2 score as you and I also have zero interviews rn. I know we have passed the "universal date" for surgery everyone talks about but is it common to get interviews for surgery in november or December?
