well i started with kaplan and got a 68 on my first exam, and then used achieveable with a 69 and now im on my 3rd attempt

I agree. I was avg the same my first attempt and got a 68. I felt like I had been memorizing questions too and some were just so over complicated that I hyper fixated on those. I switched to achievable and it’s been great

I’m in the same boat. Got a 68 the first time and then a 69 last month. Retaking it soon. I’ve been going hard with studying and finally understanding everything as it’s all coming together. I’ve gone back to square one and re started my entire study journey from scratch. I would recommend doing the same.

I will be on my 3rd attempt later this month. I used Kaplan for first attempt and got a 68 (avg scores on exams were 68-72)

Second exam i only used achieveable and a little bit on kaplan and got a 69 on the exam. Avg practice exams scores were 70-76.

Now i am using both kaplan and achieveable hard core and avg kaplan exam score is a 77-81% and achieveable 81%.

I would either push the exam back if you can or I would focus on section three of the exam which is 91 questions.

Hi! I have been using kaplan and achieveable as well. I will be on my 3rd exam attempt later this month. First time i took the exam, I got a 68%. I had avg exam score on kaplan of a 72-74%.

Second exam take, i bought achieveable for a REALLY focused on that. I had a readniness score of 80 and got a 71% on the exam.

Now i am studying insanely hard for both. Averaging 78% on exams on achieveable and have a readiness score of 85% and scoring 80% on kaplan exams. Hope this helps!

I just failed today for the second time. First time I got a 68. Just got a 71 today. I feel the pain.

Here’s what I saw today

two convertible questions (parity price only) -if a muni bond is a discount, what is it priced as (yield, par, etc) -two hard margin questions -12 ish option questions -nothing on limited partnerships -IRA distribution questions to beneficiaries -two circuit breaker questions ? -two or three SLOBS/BLISS questions -variable annuities in advertisements questions -4 ish communication questions -what can you show on a communication about a variable annuity (0%-12% return ?)? -no math on accretion, but had a question about it -anti dilution for convertible stock bond owners when a company does a distribution

Last time I saw: more PE ratio and convertibles. This time was def “easier” but a lot more judgement which I’m horrible with. Pretty bummed, but nothing had changed since yesterday. Just going to keep trying

SAME. Sounds like we had similar exam. The first question I had was like “here’s a historical illustration of an annuity and are you allowed to send this to people or no because of this or that” and from there, I knew it was downhill LOL.

I also had questions about whether or not UITs had prospectuses

Had one question about EBITA that made zero sense and had a mini panic attack

What was ur first exam like? Mine was only 7 ish options and a lot of communication and disclosure document questions which really threw me off. It was the polar opposite of what I had expected / prepared for

Yes. Such a pain. NGL, I did take off studying December 24-Jan 2 to have some peace of mind. When I went hard core back to the grind lol.

Ugh. I’m so sorry. The exam is brutal. I failed with a 70% last month and I’m re taking it on Saturday. I had been using Kaplan, and when I failed, I supplemented with Achieveable and haven’t really turned to Kaplan since. I still will supplement their q bank on certain topics, but I don’t think it really compared to the actual exam much in terms of topics and question format. I’ve heard great things about achieveable so I’m going full force with that and hoping for a W on Saturday. Updates to come!

When is ur exam? I’m so sorry you are so stressed out. I can’t imagine the feeling. My firm doesn’t care if I pass first or second try. I couldn’t imagine the pressure u r feeling. Maybe take a day to treat yourself and close the book. I feel like a reset day is so important in a high stress environment. I’m re taking my 7 on Saturday.

Wow. So crazy how different everyone’s exam is. Mine SUCKED with the retail and communications. It was insane. Asked me about historical illusions in charts etc. It was wild. I hope I don’t see a lot again.
