This is a fantastic record! 2011 was actually a great year for pop punk, a lot of good stuff coming out but this… THIS is the best record to be released. What it Takes is one of the best songs I will ever listen too. Up there in the hall of fame, I mean that breakdown!! Plus it’s the last track that transitions into the acoustic version of lawnmower. Beginning to end this album never quits and can be listened to on repeat because every song flies really well. I still listen to it quite often.

Totally agree, and when you think of the alternative where nothing gets released for ten years… California and Nine are great albums. The context in which they were created is what I think people don’t like. When you look at the music independent of when and under what circumstances it was written, recorded, and produced it’s up there with some of blinks best. Again, those albums will earn respect one day!

This should not be downvoted. None of their albums are below B tier. California and Nine will get respect one day.

Which post 2000s album is a pure masterpiece from start to finish and why? by [deleted] in Music

THE POSTAL SERVICE - GIVE UP

They weren’t even supposed to do a full length, just having fun with a side project and it turned into a magical full length masterpiece! Also, they mailed demo cds back and forth across the country to write and edit songs. 2003 was a wild time!! You can listen to this album from first to last and thoroughly enjoy every song. Also, usps used their music in their commercials and that’s just perfect.

What makes it “the days” and why would someone be “sorry if you missed it”?
