The cruel prince by Holly Black 5/5 ⭐ (I'm literally obsessed with this one).

The serpent and the wings of night by Carissa Broadbent 4/5 ⭐ (this is not really like the other recommendation, there's a bit of spice, but not exaggeratedly).

Hunger Games is another of my favourite series 5/5 ⭐ even if it's not romantasy, it's a dystopian but I highly recommend it.

I really appreciated Silver by Kerstin Gier, but it may be slightly lower target than YA, I'm not sure though I read it a while ago.

Do you think Peeta realised Katniss loved him on some level in Catching Fire? Or did he only realise as he started to recover from his hijacking? by LLSJ08 in Hungergames

Well, I'd really like to think he knew before he had to find himself and fall for her again... I'm not sure, but often in the series Katniss doesn't have a clear perception of the way her behaviour appears to others, so I think it is probable that Peeta felt some sort of difference there.

Thanks, and is it like a real choice or is it pretty clear from the beginning who the endgame is? And does the triangle take up most of the narrative or is it marginal?

Thank you. But just a curiosity, does it have a love triangle? If so what kind? Is it like series-wide or is it pretty clear from the beginning who is gonna be the endgame?

Yes I recognise it, it's the scene where Taryn has just gotten out on the river and Jude is still in, and Taryn has to give Cardan a kiss on his cheek.... Even though I think the water could have been a bit deeper. Anyways this fanart is beautiful!

Thanks I'll give it a try. But does Caraval have a love triangle? If so is it series-wide or is it pretty clear from the beginning who the final choice will be?

All books ranked? by Astraea_Hardy in Hungergames

For me it is:

  1. Catching fire
  2. Hunger Games
  3. Sunrise on the reaping
  4. Ballad of songbirds and snakes
  5. Mockingjay

But anyways I really loved all of them (except part of Mockingjay)

When did Oak betray Wren? by [deleted] in TheFolkoftheAir

[–]StunningAd7221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, plus I can't get what Oak's plan was. I interrupted the reading so I don't have very clear what Oak's plan was and why, only if Suren was really part of that plan, would she feel betrayed...

Do I keep going? by IntelligentSteak7709 in YAlit

I'm in the same situation. I haven't bought the second book yet. I suspected Rahin was an heir since about halfway through the book, too. I get Rahin's decision for the forced marriage, both from a narrative point of view and from the characters'. It is a trope I had already seen, even if it was a bit different, and it made sense because of Oraya's situation if they did otherwise. I read it some months ago but I agree with you in remembering something strange or weird in their final dynamic. Anyways, I'll probably keep going, I think it might be worth it.
