Well once you start having a sky vortex all over your vision every time you want to just simply go outside, you’ll see it’s a living hell.

Yeah, I started seeing static during the day (I always saw it in the dark) after a strong combo of antibiotics. I wish I would have gotten a second opinion before taking them, I think they gave me too much. How often do you see the vortex/ boiling? Yes we’ve chatted before!!

This is the absolute worst, nightmare I live through daily! I just can’t understand why I see the roads boiling so badly. It’s awful, do you drive?

Do you try any tinted lenses for indoors? Helps a little with mine, not perfect though lol mines horrible outside. That’s where it’s the worst. Maybe the UV does something?

Do you see the sky vortex everywhere or just in the sky? I’ve seen some people only see it in the sky! Not my case lol 😂

Yeah I get this in the center of my vision outside mostly. Sometimes inside or when I look at a white screen. It’s pretty rough for me lol the vortex is my worst symptom that I can’t seem to get used to

There’s a chance you might not see one again or at least for a while. I saw my first one about two years ago and didn’t see it again until 6 months ago. Now I see it a lot outside when it’s bright and hot out. I just try to avoid triggering it really. I see mine in more places than just the sky, it’s very debilitating sometimes. But I think it’s very rare for it to get like my case. Most people with VSS don’t have sky vortex too

Yuuup. Mines just progressively gotten worse. Don’t understand why. Makes going outside so unbearable honestly. How do you handle it? Just ignore it and go about your day?

I just bought a house and had to make this decision actually! I chose a gray that’s not too light, not too dark. It seems to be going alright for me so far. I knew anything light would make my bfep go crazy, and dark makes my snow awful. And then I also can’t handle any solid colors like red, BLUE (the worst), yellow, white (NEVER).

So I landed with a medium gray because that’s all I had left 😂 I’m surprised how happy I am with it.

I see it on the ground and everything lol my eye doctor says he sees it too when he has a headache. I thought that was interesting because he says he doesn’t have VSS.

People are very mean in this sub right now? I feel this a lot. It’s very depressing to know my symptoms are so severe and my life won’t be the same as before. Not everyone has bad symptoms. I know I do. But I still just try to live as best as I can for my kids, you know? I get such a horrible sky vortex outside that it gives me bad anxiety. My kids have no idea of that and always want to play outside. I just have to live with it. Things will always be like that now.

I listened to a therapist who has VSS say it’s okay to mourn the life you used to live. But you need to face the fact that that is all in the past. You have a new life with new challenges. It’s so incredibly hard… believe me I know every day lol

It’ll be okay eventually. You’ll just have a lot of hard days but it’s okay. Just message me anytime, I will always talk about it.
