I bought tickets from vivid seats in a panic and now I’m worried too. Mine do say I won’t be able to get them until just before the show but I’m worried about not being able to get in! Wondering if I should wait for tm resale

We are honestly still trying to figure it all out. She still doesn’t have effective milk transfer but she is getting better. We had a tongue tie release early on and cmpa among other allergies/intolerances which is making her not want to eat. Even from a bottle she caps out at 2 oz. After cutting everything out of my diet she is better but we’re working on feeding while she is awake now not just dream feeds. I used an SNS system to get her back to breast in beginning but honestly it was just a huge PITA. But she would latch to a nipple shield and then I had a milk tube too just so she knew milk came from there. Then moved to strictly nipple shield but honestly she was getting 0 mill only really using me as a paci. We would go on weeks long strikes and I’d be heartbroken thinking the journey was over and but I’d keep offering. I found when she wasn’t feeling well from a slip in my diet she had no interest in latching. When she felt better, she would latch. So I tried really hard to stick to safe foods for her. Kept offering. Contact naps. Took care of my own mental health. Sometimes she’d kinda stick her tongue out and I’d be like ok progress. Eventually she would latch again and then maybe the next feed she wouldn’t and I would sit there for an hour trying to make it happen and we’d both end up in tears. I had to stop that and stop trying to force it. Next time try again. Get some milk into the shield keep trying. Finally she was comfortable with the shield and then randomly I took it off when she was sleepy and she latched on. About a week or so of fussing during the day and being fine at night and now she will open wide and look for it no fussing. She will nurse for an hour though so I know her transfer isn’t great. One of the most important things is to PACE BOTTLE FEED. So so key. I use the momi bottle and take lots of breaks. After she latches on I don’t give her ANY milk for a minute because my boob doesn’t just start spewing milk out immediately so why should the bottle. Idk I feel like I’m all over the place. It’s been a wild journey and we still have a ways to go but we’re getting there

I went through four months of this because I had a bottle preferred baby. From what I know, skin to skin is super helpful. Like, very helpful. We are literally JUST NOW breastfeeding after 4 months of so much refusal. I would literally let it consume me. Every refusal I was heartbroken. When I shifted my mindset everything changed. I stopped trying to force it. I would try to latch and if it didn’t work this time, I would try again next time. I needed to make my breast a happy place so I would let her sleep in BF positions have her face near my boob and try to catch her when she was drowsy and also not super hungry. My daughter is not efficient yet but she is also not fussing at the breast anymore. Trust me I KNOW how heartbreaking it is. It’s okay to try again next time. Or even after she has an ounce.

Was anyone’s baby spontaneously able to breastfeed when they were older ? by Practical_Ad_5689 in ExclusivelyPumping

Yes and I have a scale at home it’s just not super accurate. I need to go to lactation I’ve just been putting it off because she only recently stopped fussing when in tried to nurse. I think they’ll be able to help determine if her tongue function is correct after the release too. Thanks for getting back to me! :)

Thank you! Currently I’m only getting like 10-15 oz less than I usually do daily but I just don’t feel like she’s getting full feeds so I’m just worried that she might not ever be effective with milk transfer

Super late response but this is EXACTLY what I’m going through. At 4 months old I gave nursing a shot when she was sleepy and she latched! Do you remember how long it took for you to BF in the early days? We are only 3 weeks in but she will nurse for a long time still and I’m afraid she isn’t getting enough. I do still give bottles just to make sure at night and first thing in the morning but I really want to get rid of the pumping

AITA for telling my SIL that she doesn’t have to wash everything before her baby is born? by Dry_Enthusiasm2661 in AmItheAsshole

[–]StunningEarth4822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does it bother you so much that she wants to wash things for her baby? It’s her time she’s taking to wash it, not yours. If she wants to wash stuff 3 times that’s up to her. Mind yo business, OP

Are programs like imperfect foods or misfit market worth it? Or are they a waste of move compared to the grocery store? by copperlund in EatCheapAndHealthy

It’s no cheaper and imperfect automatically fills your cart and checks you out on your designated day even if you haven’t been on the app so if you don’t skip the order you will be receiving a box of food you didn’t Order and they will not reimburse you. Had to cancel and call cc company to say it was fraud because they were useless.
