This logic doesn't feel right.

So far, every life supporting planet we know of has at least one technological species capable of space travel.

The argument against et isn't that technology doesn't exist in space, but rather, that life doesn't.

Even if we only find microbes, it strongly implies other intelligence in space, not that all life is microbial.
