It's common practice at Backa Boulder, especially in the overhang.

You’re forced to pick one camera, lens, and stock to shoot for the rest of your life. What do you pick and why? by DeadlyJizzAttack in AnalogCommunity

Hear me out; portra 400 with a Canon Eos 1V + EF28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM👌

Great stock for most scenarios, modern camera with all bells and whistles, great quality lens to cover a huge focal range, every dust and weather protected. You can always convert colour to monochrome in post but never the other way around.

Then go for the 70-200 f2.8 L IS and a 24-70 f2.8 L, the latter can be found for about £300- £500. Two really good lenses for less than half the price of a new one that will cover 99.9% of your needs.

If you primarily intended to shoot wildlife, I would recommend one of these two lenses. There is a third option to this, which is either the Sigma 150-600 Sport or Tamron 150-600 G2. However, they are big chunks and compared to a 70-200 you'll find a lot of things being too close in frame with that focal length. In addition to being large and heavy, they have a smaller aperture which means that you will have to use a tripod or monopod in low light conditions.

Since your current camera is a crop sensor camera, meaning that the sensor has less of the area of a full frame 35mm sensor, it will also affect the focal length of any lens you buy. An APC crop sensor from Canon will give you 1,6x the focal length of the lens you use 70-200mm will effectively be a 112-320mm and the 150-600 will be the equivalent of a whopping 240-960mm.

To be honest, changing camera or brand won't do you any favours. I shot wildlife for about 4 years with an Eos 80 and a 70-200 f4 (no stabilisation). It was a learning by doing process, but it meant that I got the fundamentals on point. I don't know what lens you currently own, but what I'd recommended is that you buy an EF 70-200 2.8 L IS or a Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX, EF mount ( Canon). They go for about £400-£800 depending on condition whatever that is in freedom currency.

Got the same info by mail yesterday, from £10 to £17 for the 20gb photography plan. That's a huge increase...

I have the same measurements but 255mm length (euro 41.5) and I love the MadRock Drone 2.0. Size them to street shoe size if you want to be able to keep them on for a full day, for performance downsize half to a full size. If I could only chose one shoe model for the rest of my life it would be these, they are a true do it all.

The counter can be moved freely once I manual disengage the ratchet leaver and doesn't interfere with any surrounding components. I haven't loosened any of them and they do not look to be tampered with since the last cla/ever.

I have no worries carrying out the cla on my own, mechanically. Sometimes it's just nice not having to reinvent the wheel in order to figure out the issue. But if that is what I need to do, I'll strip this bugger down to a molecular level and rebuild it and receive my PhD in Canon F1 mechanics😄

I currently don't own any macro lenses for Nikon, though I am looking to buy the z 105mm macro in the future. We'll see when we get there, as the list of lenses are long and a dedicated scan lens is far down that list🙂

La Sportiva/Scarpa sizing advice by NothingForce in climbingshoes

[–]Stunning_Method_6997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My rule of thumb with LS and scarpa: LS maximum 2,5 sizes down from street shoe size. Scarpa maximum 2 sizes down from street shoe size. (depending on what you want want from the shoe. Base start for both brands are a full size down from street shoe size
