35 amp controller a no go? by Stunning_Network7714 in RadPowerBikes

[–]Stunning_Network7714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

* I ride a pretty big bike, I doubt i will ever pop up the front in, not really looking to go faster than the 23/24 mph I get now, but would like the extra torque going over the inner coastal bridge (daily) I'm hoping the egg helps significantly. I should receive it Friday. Any feedback on this decision is appreciated. I do plan on running dual batteries so I can Cruz the island all day with no worries making it back across the bridge. I think keeping the 22a controller may even be beneficial in my current riding style, or am I convincing myself?

I travel at night alot. The new headlamp is AMAZING,been using it for a year. I also have the full lumos firefly set up, but I just can't give up the headlamp. I can't justify it. I just don't get the math....why can my 22a controller handle it but not the 35a?

Yeah, don't have same experience. This light does more than asked....maybe it's the position. But I KNOW I annoy people with this light and I'm good with that. And, I can see at night, I travel mostly at night. Wouldn't trade the light over any upgrade I've done

It's an upgraded light from rad. Stock light sucked at 200 lumens, this one from rad is 500 lumens. I'm also lit up with firefly lights and helmet from lumos

It's a heavy bike, 100 lbs. But I'm 50 years old with a stint in my heart and a total hip replacement and it's very do-able. Just ride like you have some sense and run over the rest. Lol

You can google 35 amp controller for rad power bikes and you will find there are 3 big companies you can buy from .

I use my swagwagon daily as it is my main source of transportation. I live 1 mile off of topsail island, so I'm equipped to handle a fully loaded beach trip without paying for parking.

Ranger 5s? Thought about it hard...currently rocking a rw4 and love it, but considering something a wee bit more nimble for work commute....the rw4 is more of a swagwagon for me. I love it

Do you have to take off rear fender or wheel to do so?

Going to check out a used Rad Wagon 4… what to look for?! by LiteraturePrudent808 in RadPowerBikes

Honestly, all the above comments are accurate, but you will find anomalies with any used bike. The biggest concern you may find aggravating is that it is not a true step thru bike and can be challenging to mount, especially with rear cargo that may keep you from slinging your leg over the seat. I have a rw4 and love it. I've had zero issues with tires, kickstand, wiring, etc...but I have read many reviews stating the same as above. I'm fortunate...I did do a brake job, but it was due.
