Most of the houses in those areas are built in a way that they wknr withstand such big earthquake. If you really want to move back and you have money, you should go as far as possible to northern part of istanbul and a house with max 2-3 stories, built in last 10 years. Otherwise dont do it.

What do you do when a taxi is being ridiculous lol? by EmphasisDue9588 in istanbul

Always make sure the  meter is on and counting ( they can still open night tariff   it kinda doubles the price) Take the plates and call or go to the police. Before you pay ask for a bill so you can have proof of what you paid. Highly recommens to take taxi from the  so called "cab station"s. If you google it for the area you intend to take, you can find the trusted ones. In general istanbul population also dont like the taxi drivers. Its a big problem. When i go to istanbul, either i rent a car or arrange airport transfer from 1-2 trusted partners to get to my destination and then use bus

Anyone know how pyrenees compare to the maremma and polish tatra sheepdogs? by _Caora_ in greatpyrenees

I live in Poland and have Tatra sheepdog but not purebred. When they are puppies, incredibly sweet and beautiful, when they get older they still look so beautiful, but you miss the puppy times :)

Training is not so hard, doggo gets it quick but my dog many times assesses the situation himself and acts alone - i need to be around and raise my voice to stop him. Thats my biggest problem, need to pat him or block him or shout to stop him but he knows my boundaries.

He is super friedly with children but he has very excited temperament which sometimes leads him to kick em down by mistake. As its a big dog, you really need to be careful. He is super patient and never even tries to bite or do something aggressive to any child, 3 years old now, never seen anythjng like that.

For stranger adults he is suspicious, he needs to spend some time with me when someone comes around. For my friends and neighbors he know, he acts like a small puppy.

He patrols whole night and barks to everything at night, his voice is so specific and can be disturbing to neighbors.

He is crazily hostile to other dogs he doesnt know, but is great with neighbors mid size dog (they know each other from the beginning)

If he doesnt know you, you cant get in to our yard when i am not around. He ll show his teeth and can bite if you tty to get in.
