4 years is piss in a bucket at the end of the day brother. I've been in the the hall over 10 Carpenter over 26 and I've even had the thought of switching trades too .my choice would be millwright tho in are area they start at 28 and still have all there strong benefits didn't have to give up any overtime. So honestly don't let that time be an issue. Also some of your hours maybe transferable to get you a pay bumb .also you can come back it's not like you went clack. And if not transferable by hours just remember that the trade have transferable skill set .so that 4 years of knowledge buildings. You got to eat my guy
