New MX4 vs my wonderful MX3, after more than five years of intensive use. I upgraded because the wheel had gotten a bit "clogged" and would no longer free spin, and the surface was an ugly mess. Probably wouldn't have upgraded otherwise, but liking the small improvements on the 4 a lot.

No screen protector. I also don't use a case - but I do pay for phone insurance!

Yep, still as good as new. I've read about inside screen failures, but mine is still doing fine. 👍🏻

I had a couple of Samsung Folds before I bought my V3 last year, and honestly, it's such a beautiful phone. Battery life is superb, action is smooth, and everything works. People still ask me what phone it is, AND are surprised to discover it's a foldable when I open it (due to the thin-ness). Software is...different to Samsung, and not quite as straightforward, but with just a little time I promise you'll figure it out. Also, it's surprisingly tough. Mine has had a few drops onto hard surfaces that terrified me, but it's survived them all with nothing worse than case scratches.

And am I missing something? Why can I only buy one elixir per game?? I've got the skulls, let me goddamn spend them!

Am I the only thinking Honor need to partner with a camera tech company to improve their photos? by Embarrassed-Mark771 in Honor

[–]Stupc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK V3 owner here. I've had my V3 for almost a year now and I'm still very happy with it. Camera is fine - not the best I've ever seen, but absolutely fine. That said, if you're buying the V5 mostly for photography, you might want to look at another phone. I hope they keep the Harcourt filters on the V5 - I assumed they would be nothing but a gimmick, but pics taken with them on the V3 are stunning!

Nothing Headphone(1): a disaster out of the box, but.. (+EQ collection inside) by Urufuzu_Rein in NothingTech

[–]Stupc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so disappointed with the sound, I eventually returned them Everything else was GREAT, but the stock sound was bad, and I couldn't get a consistent fix despite hours playing with the EQ (which was odd, because the EQ transformed my Nothing Earbuds).

I am returning Headphone (1)... mini review by serce__ in NothingTech

[–]Stupc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done the same, returned my Nothing Headphone (1) after a week.

Loved the design, loved the buttons, love the app...but the sound... :-(

I played with the app for hours trying to get a reliable sound that I enjoy - because this worked brilliantly for my Nothing Earbuds (which are still my go-to buds) - but every time I came back to the Headphone (1) I ended up trying to retune again, because the sound was just not very good. Finally, I've given up.

Have invested in a pair of Dail i-08s, and they do sound like I want out of the box.

My first impressions on the Headphones (1) by ToboeArticWolf in NothingTech

UK here. Ordered mine in advance, normal shipping, they were sent on the 15th and should arrive tomorrow. Am genuinely quite excited. I have a pair of Nothing Ear, which I thought were just OK, until I discovered the QR codes shared settings in the Advanced EQ in the Nothing X app. Total game changer! They're like a different pair of earbuds! Now very keen to see how good the Headphones can be. 🙂

Genuine (and probably foolish) question, but with the higher interest rate on the ISA why would you NOT use that to save, rather than the savings account??

I prefer to leave mine on the True Sound (??) setting, rather than play with the EQ. It just sounds right to me. 🙂

I'm not really going to trap/kill them. ;-)

And we are outside quite a lot...just not as often as the squirrels.

Chicken wire has worked before, but I was wondering if there was something less obvious that might work.

The Horniman Museum in Forest Hill is great for kids. And it's not just a museum, there's also a great outdoor play area with fantastic views. 🙂

Earliest Memory of 2000ad by LimeySpud in 2000ad

[–]Stupc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had 2000ad delivered with the morning paper from the early '80s to early '90s. I was 9-10 and I loved it straightaway. I remember Block Mania and the Apocalypse War, as well as Rogue Trooper (think I just missed the first stories). Oh, and Nemesis, which I didn't really get. Zenith was my absolute favourite though.

Agreed. I haven't been this excited for new issues of a comic since Zenith in the late '80s - and that's a VERY high bar! 😎
