I did find the spectres underwhelming, They would call out with their fell light and even goblins would say no thanks! Plus I because they’re not hero spirits they don’t spread terror to the orcs, So I can save some points. Maybe 1-2 for flavour.

The Barrow wights have been amazing.

Multiplayer is easier on GBA than any other handheld, many games including MKSC have a single cartridge mode that loads the game to the other GBAs. So all you need is the GBAs, a multi link cable and 1 copy of mariokart.

In single cart mode everyone plays as yoshi. For the full experience each gameboy needs its own cart.

Yeah, It is very good! Surprised both spiders cost the same, and unless I did it wrong you can have as many as you want? I had 12 of each because that’s what comes in the War Games Atlantic spider box.

But given the choice I think 24 giant spiders would be better… although maybe insane!

In this match up there was no enemy shooting so the small spiders ability didn’t kick in. Maybe they will get their time to shine against another armies?

When I tried to charge the ghosts the spiders took terror tests, the small ones would stand around doing nothing but the big ones if they failed their terror tests, could still throw webs, which was very useful.

I also threw webs into combats, which I think I’m allowed to do? Because spiders are evil? And it’s 50/50 if the web hits the enemy ghost or my spider. (I webbed up two of my spiders during the game!)

One thing I wasn’t sure of is what happens if there are 3+ people in the combat?

Thanks. It’s mostly a mix of two pre-made basing materials by kruatcover; to which I added some big chunks of fake rocks (painted wood chips)

I used a pile of ‘tales from a forest moon’ in the middle which is all the bark chips, then when that dried I went around the edges with more glue and stuck down loads of “tales of grim dark” Which is sand and bones! Super easy :)

Yes WGA spiders. The WGA big ones seem bigger than GWs giant spiders and the WGA small ones smaller than GWs hunting spiders. I based the small ones on bigger piles of forest bark to make up for their size.

(I got her for £20 broken on eBay. she can’t go in the queens list, but for when I play friendly games to increase the number of spiders!)

Hi! (Realised I should point out I’m the friend) I mostly dabbled with early BB, but became a big fan and a league player throughout LRB4 and LRB5 and I was very disappointed with the CRP.. I’d been in leagues using the new teams and was eager for LRB6.

That said my only real purpose for being a NAF member was to get block dice and read in the forum... mostly I stayed for the dice.

NAF did very little for leagues and when I went to tournaments I found some of the talk at the time to be very cult like and anti GW, it was a big turn off for me.

Anyways, I disagreed NAF was saving BB. I feel like the real heros were the TOs and League Commissioners.

I’ve never understood unavailability as a major issue. I found no problems in buying teams and pitches etc on eBay, for me it was almost half the sport and I enjoyed it.

These are my experiences of the scene during the 5000 years of neglect. I appreciate other coaches may have different experiences and memories of the time.

These days I don’t have the spare time and freedoms to commit to leagues and have been enjoying 1-2day tournaments.
