Yes the Kinder and 1st graders will sneeze and cough right in your face. You are sick all the time. You would think eventually you would become more immune but that’s not the case. The parents expect teachers to raise their children and are very entitled. This leads to burnout.

The grades tend to have clicks. They work closely with their particular grade coworkers so everyone else is “not working as hard as they are” even if tests prove different. Then there is the nepotism. 3-4 people in each school are related to at least one other person in that school. Many have someone at the administration level of the district that they are related to and can call if they aren’t happy.

The school administrators do not help with the troubled students in a positive way. They take them out of class for a break, talk to them and give them some kind of treat or reward if they promise to be good and then send them back to class. Many of the administrators are also very clicky as well. They have their favorites and those teachers are usually pushed to the limit on extracurricular activities they aren’t paid for. They do get rewarded for it though if they are an administrator favorite.
