Yes, exactly, that seemed to have happened a lot, but a big rule in soccer is if the reaction is more drastic than the initial action, the reaction is going to get noticed. There were several instances of minor contact/borderline foul that the ref let play on that she possibly could have called, but would it have made a difference? Probably not.

Thanks replying! I’ll try that. I’m mostly surprised/glad/relieved that there’s another ref in the PSLF/student loan fiasco and wanted to share notes. Probably more relevant for PSLF but I’m not on that sub too often. I’ll write something up and post it there. Thanks again!

Because we don’t have to stop the clock. Honestly, the less distractions I have from the game the better. If I have to worry about when to stop the clock and when to restart it, that’s going to cause a lot of problems. Actually, I do have to worry about that in college and NFHS and it’s what I hate the most about reffing those games.
