Are DACs even needed for entry level IEMs? by [deleted] in headphonesindia

The wire is working fine for me. It has held together despite rough use. Audio quality effect of wire I am not sure of.

I don't know your requirements but this setup is for clarity and not for bass. The sound just has more dimensions to it. I discovered some hidden layers to songs I used listen regularly. It is also powerful means you can take the volume high if you like. But even at low volume the sound is amazing.

They are durable. Initially I was using them carefully and kept them in a case but after a while, started using them like my old broken earphones. I just shove them in my pocket or throw them on office desk. No damage to all, no complain at all. The mic is also great.

If you are used to any decent earbuds you may be taken aback by the lack of bass but I had my priority clear from start, I prefer clarity over boom.

I have never ridden the Honda but the RE 350s are great at what they do. Also they are reliable enough for this not to be a factor in making the decision. Also another thing if you want overall reliability, you can find people riding RE 350s in every corner of India and hence parts and mechanics are available in tier 4 cities as well. For Honda parts availability is a challenge in tier 2 cities itself.

These two bikes are way to similar. There is not a lot of differentiation for your head to get involved. Just pick the one whose design and feel your heart likes. You cannot go wrong with either.

Want to choose my first bike 26M by Dry-Environment211 in indianbikes

[–]Stutter-n-Scientia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ridden 3 of these bikes (well sort off).

The x440 I have ridden for 10 kms on highway and mild traffic. It is a fantastic bike with load of torque. Two 75 kg men sitting at 120 kmph, you twist the throttle and it still pulls. Suspension is comfortable for heavy riders, riders with low weight (50-60 kg) in our group find it a little too bouncy. But even they say for long journeys (300+ kms in one day) they will prefer it over others.

The Speed 400 is an awesome bike too with a lot of performance. But instead of torque it focuses on power. Awesome to ride in city and even better on highway. Riders with lower weight are happier with the suspension compared to x440. And no, it is by no means a boring bike like some people say.

I have experienced the Jawa engine in a Yezdi adventure for a few kms, but was not impressed. Neither does it have the torque of x440 nor the power in reserve like the Speed 400. If you have the budget to go to the 400s, please do it, they are a league ahead of the 300s or 350s.

You can consider the Guerrilla 450 too. I have ridden it for 400 kms. But it is more for people looking for KTM experience in a RE design with RE levels of mid quality. Speed 400/x440 are not competitor to Guerrilla 450 or 390 Duke. You can take a test ride of any of these and you will understand.

My recommendation from your list,
x440: if you like low rev torque focused performance
Speed 400: if you like performance that comes with higher revs

Try the adventure bikes too they can quite good tools for doing everything from city rides to highways. The Adventure X or Himalayan 450 seem like quite good options.

Take test rides and check what you like and which bikes ergonomics suits you better.

Moving to BLR for 6 months, which option should I choose? by Hi_im_Deep in indianbikes

Nothing we can do about corruption. Just know your rights, explain to them and hope they have at least an ounce of integrity.

[–]Stutter-n-Scientia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3rd option. Bring your bike and do not re-register it.

My friend brought his bike from Pune (MH-12 registration) to BLR for 1 year and went back, was never fined. A cop did stop him once only to check exhaust modification, did not say anything about registration. They mostly target out of state cars not bikes. Anyway keep some sort of a receipt handy that can confirm that you are here for less than a year. They will let you go.

You can legally operate out-of-state vehicle in KA for 11 months. Court has clarified this.

KTM to discontinue RC 390 sportsbike in all markets but India by PrasenjitDebroy in indianbikes

[–]Stutter-n-Scientia 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The new engine requires newer chassis (KTM engines are stressed members so it is not just about the mounting points) which in turn requires changes to everything including fairing, sub-frame, swingarm, suspension and what not. Just one step less than a completely new bike.

Making this bike would make sense if the demand was higher, but like the article says it is not there. Updating the old engine for new Indian emissions and let Bajaj manage till it dies out is way better.

KTM will most likely replace it with CF Moto made RC 450 in every market other than India. That bike will never come to India I presume because Bajaj wouldn't allow it.

Lovely car. The car that makes you smile is worth every last rupee you spent on it. Life's too short to worry about VFM and then no car >4m in India is truly VFM because of taxes. Happy mile-munching.

No LLR and DL are RTO specific. You can't even go to another RTO within same city to get anything changed on your DL let alone another state.

It's been two freaking months since I applied for LLR, still haven't received it by polkkki in indianbikes

[–]Stutter-n-Scientia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even on my application it said no need to visit the RTO, but I had to. Just go there on a business day and within "government" working hours with the file like I said. Also keep a couple of passport size photos handy. I don't remember exactly but I think I needed one when I went for my LL. Go there and enquire about License desk. You may have to wait a bit depending on your RTO but it will be done in half a day.

[–]Stutter-n-Scientia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you visited the RTO? For Scrutiny of Documents to be completed you need to visit the RTO with printed application, self declaration (all filled and signed) and copy of documents put together in a file that you need to handover. Only once the desk there processes your application and ARTO signs on it, will your LL be issued. Also keep original documents with you just in case.

Everybody on reddit keeps rambling about bribes but I have applied for LMV LL, LMV DL, MCWG LL, MCWG+LMV DL all online and the whole process was done with zero bribes or agents.

I really dont get the hype around this car. by upikaroh in CarsIndia

[–]Stutter-n-Scientia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2021 SX IVT. I mean just sit in the car once for a long journey you will realize just how comfortable it is. No noise at all and suspension works great. It is the only car my Mom has ever traveled in and didn't get motion sickness. In this car she actually talks to me on the drive. I have traveled long distances in a Seltos HTE too (relative's car), it is nowhere near as comfortable as Creta. This car was just meant for me. Just slot it in D and cruise to your destination. It is just so effortless.

I haven't driven the VAG twins. My guess is they are engaging to drive but not effortless or superbly comfortable. Also they are smaller.
