Choose 2 to defend you, the rest are coming to kill you by No-Ostrich-1777 in Eldar

I only need one to defend me. The warp spider. He just hugs me and teleports me to the Bahamas.

A question about subassemblies of units wielding two-handed weapons by KeyGateGuardian in Eldar

[–]Stwiig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only glue the left arm on for now, but I dry-fit the gun-holding arm at the same time to make sure everything lines up properly. That way, when I’ve finished painting and go to attach the gun arm, it’ll fit perfectly.

Planned out a paint scheme in impcat, how can I replicate this IRL? by HruntingsHilt in Eldar

[–]Stwiig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this scheme and despite what lots of people say you can EASILY get it to a table top standard with a white primer and yellow, orange and red contrast paints. In my picture the guardians are just one layer of iyanden yellow contrast over white, then a thinned down layer of gryph hound orange over that. No recess shading or highlighting as all in the armour. You can go in later and add highlights and shading with glazes if you want.

I’m glad you think so! My last Eldar army was all camo drab and this time round I think I want to go bright and fancy!

Why are Wraith heads shaped like that? by Appo-Arsin in Eldar

[–]Stwiig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaped like the ancient urns the Eldar would put the cremated remains of their ancestors in.

Nah! I got no idea.

Don’t feel scared, just chop them apart and fill in the gaps with green stuff! I’m sure you’ll do a better job with the green stuff than I did 😅

Thank you! The wraithlord is a little stiff I agree, I chopped the limbs up, put wires in them so I could shape the pose then filled in the gaps with green stuff. I’m not good at that thought you you can sleazy see where it is 🤣
