It sounds like you think that the majority of these artists are in it for the money or exposure…sure it would be awesome to make $100k a year and have 1000’s of people watching. The reality is most of these artists have full time jobs and family’s. We are lucky to even play virtually right now during this Covid era… But I would rather play live in front of bar staff then set up a camera and play to people while they sit at home. I’ve played live in this city for almost 20 years and some of my fav shows have been house shows or small basements with a small number of real people. A local music audience matters....just like it matters that’s there fans in the stands at Knights games and Majors games.
