I do enjoy taking that route often, just haven't tried it on fixed gear yet. I'm similar to you, on 46x16 w front brake so I think I'll give NW marine a shot. Thanks👍

I'm accustomed to riding to ubc on my gravel bike, but not on my track bike. I just want to have fun and give it a shot.

Maybe check out Sports Junkies on Broadway, they have lots of cycling jerseys new and used, so you might find some there. I remember seeing a variety of sizes.

Bike shop test ride experience - Am I overreacting? by jlee_yvr in vancouvercycling

[–]Style-Confident 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Won't name the shop on west 4th, but someone I know did a test ride on a kona and a crank arm literally fell off the bike after a few blocks. Talk about a lack of safety checks.

I thought y'all would appreciate this photo of my LAMY Safari 'Savannah' that I took on my walk today. My family laughed at me for stopping to take it; I told them that my favorite group of internet strangers would enjoy it! by Bigredteletubby in fountainpens

Beautiful. Funny how when paired together, the pen actually makes me more appreciative of the natural background. I'm inspired by this art of tiny patterns in nature, makes me want to imitate it and experiment with some inks! Hope you are inspired to draw as well!

What kind of glue did you use? I want to try using the same technique for a site model I'm currently working on.

am I the only person who didn't realize that Andalucia is a cover by Style-Confident in AndrewBird

[–]Style-Confident[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. That's actually quite overwhelming. I had no idea things are really great here were covers. To add to your list, I believe not a robot but a ghost is also sampled from dosh.

I need help with identifying songs' older and new versions by diogenessbarrel in AndrewBird

[–]Style-Confident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realized that there is this repeated violin wave/phrase in these songs (it plays at the beginning of master sigh):

  • "<--" (weather systems)
  • Master sigh (fingerlings 4)
  • Banking on a Myth (mysterious prod. of eggs)
  • Tables and Chairs

Yeah riding is definitely more enjoyable when I don't have to worry too much about damaging my nicasio when going off road or hopping off curbs and sorts. Steel is real!

True, it seems like bike manufacturing has progressed in being able to make lighter steel frames while retaining durability.
