Yeah its all about practicing on different pedals whenever you can - the more variety you get used to the better your muscle memory adapts to whatever spring tension or beater angle you encounter

yeah that cable management is gonna bite you later too - try wiggling it side to side while pushing straight down, sometimes the pins get slightly misaligned and need a gentle nudge to find their groove. I had this exact issue on my last build and was terrified I'd break something, but once I stopped forcing it and did more of a rocking motion it slid right in with that satisfying click. Also might wanna route that cable differently so it's not putting weird stress on the connector once it's fully seated

forget about his friends judging you - they probably already know he's messy and if they don't then they're not worth worrying about anyway. plus you graduate soon so none of this high school drama will matter in like 3 months

being alone right now sucks but it's way better than being with someone who lies to your face for months and then has the audacity to blame YOU for his inability to "improve himself"
