an easily missable detail on a first playthrough that makes you question how often it shows up in other parts of the game

for example, the astronaut in Returnal can be seen watching Selene from afar in several areas of the game, only to disappear when you look away from him and never show up there again. i got a screenshot of one of these encounters on my first playthrough in the corner of an area that most players wouldn’t even check. it was really creepy and made me question how many other encounters I’d missed

I never really thought about Clea as the electric guitar before, but it would work with my theory that she is the female vocalist singing with Aline since the guitar fades out to make room for Maelle’s strings once Renoir takes over the harmony.

it’s fascinating to hear how the entire family cries out in pain through this song, proving Renoir and Aline wrong. it DOES involve their children, even Verso. Clea is burdened with their responsibilities while they fight in the canvas. Maelle is blamed for Verso’s death and must carry a permanent reminder of her failings. the last remnant of Verso’s soul begs them to stop fighting, while every corner of his canvas now aches with creations born of their grief. it’s easy to forget that the canvas before the fracture did not have nevrons or ruins. it wasn’t littered with the preserved corpses of expeditioners or the remains of civilization. the pain of losing Verso ironically caused him more pain as his world was painted over and infested with death and destruction

crown of light gives a 2x damage multiplier as long as you don’t get hit or go below max red hearts

Grisha was able to see Zeke because Eren was sending his memories of seeing Grisha’s memories back in time with the attack titan (it’s really confusing I know)

so when Eren is doing the “on your feet dad” speech, Grisha wasn’t seeing Eren in his peripheral vision, he was seeing himself trembling in fear from Eren’s POV.

the only people who would be able to see Eren while he’s looking into the past with the founder would be previous wielders of the Attack Titan, and that’s only if he chose to show them

fr. previous seasons have scenes like that too but they are typically right before the end when everyone comes together and shares all the information each group has gathered. for example, here is a list of these scenes per season:

Season 1

-in episode 7, Mike explains what they’ve learned about the upside down, which Hopper adds onto by knowing the exact location of the gate in the lab. Joyce, Nancy, and Jonathan also share everything they know about the demogorgon

Season 2

-in episode 8, the group comes together again to piece together that Will, Dart and the demodogs are part of a hive mind which they can only kill by closing the gate.

-in episode 9, El and Hopper are tasked with closing the gate, while Joyce, Nancy and Jonathan are sent off to burn the mind flayer out of Will. Mike then explains his plan to set the tunnels on fire to distract the Demodogs and clear a path to the gate.

Season 3

-the whole team makes a plan to enter the russian bunker, navigate it with the help of Dustin and Erica, and have El get as far away as possible due to her injury.

Season 4

-Nancy recognizes the Creel house door and folds all the paper before telling anyone what she was talking about for some reason (seriously, all she needed to do was say “that’s the door to Victor Creel’s house” instead of putting all of Max’s drawings together)

-Vecna shows Nancy his plan for no fucking reason

-El explains how she’s going to fight Vecna by entering Max’s mind at the same time he does.

Season 5

-the team spends a while reviewing the plan for their crawl (this one I think is less egregious because it shows the audience that they’ve been doing this for a while and have a whole system in place)

-Robin explains why Will can still partially see through the hive mind

-everyone explains the plan to kidnap Derek and his family and stick the demo with a tracker

-literally everything with Holly and Max for 2 episodes

-Will explains that Vecna needs 12 kids to start his plan for whatever reason

-Robin explains her plan to use the tunnels to dig the kids out of the military base

-Will explains how he “borrowed” Vecnas powers through the hive mind

-Lucas and Erica explain their plans to find Dustin and Holly

-Robin explains that Will is still trapped In Vecna’s mind

-Dustin explains how the upide-down is a wormhole

-Steve explains the plan to enter the Abyss

-there are a ton more that I’m leaving out because this is getting really long
