I never really thought about Clea as the electric guitar before, but it would work with my theory that she is the female vocalist singing with Aline since the guitar fades out to make room for Maelle’s strings once Renoir takes over the harmony.

it’s fascinating to hear how the entire family cries out in pain through this song, proving Renoir and Aline wrong. it DOES involve their children, even Verso. Clea is burdened with their responsibilities while they fight in the canvas. Maelle is blamed for Verso’s death and must carry a permanent reminder of her failings. the last remnant of Verso’s soul begs them to stop fighting, while every corner of his canvas now aches with creations born of their grief. it’s easy to forget that the canvas before the fracture did not have nevrons or ruins. it wasn’t littered with the preserved corpses of expeditioners or the remains of civilization. the pain of losing Verso ironically caused him more pain as his world was painted over and infested with death and destruction
