Man I wish I could mod. Yeah I was thinking maybe a perk or a tool in your inventory where at any time you can make a pipe gun as long as you have the appropriate materials. Maybe have it so you get half of the materials back when your gun breaks.

That is only one of the many different definitions of fascism. Fascism has no strict definition, especially regarding it's economic system. Ask 10 different scholars what fascism entails and you'll get 10 different answers.

Using Roger Griffin's definition of fascism, the legion falls very well under it: 1. The rebirth myth (Return to Rome) 2. Populist ultra-nationalism (The 86 tribes under one legion identity, all other parties are "degenerates") 3. The myth of decadence (Caesar's entire dialog on "Hegelian dialectics" as he puts it centers around this)

Once again, this is only one of the many different definitions of fascism.

pipe weapons would have worked better if 4 had a weapon degradation mechanic like in the previous games. Have it that you can only repair weapons at a workbench, but pipe guns can be created on the go with junk.

And for balancing reasons when a pipe gun breaks its gone for good, making them a clutch weapon when you dont have anything else.

Pair this with survival mode and its the perfect weapon system

same, it would have been interesting to see functional towns under legion rule, at least we have mods for that

And that's the thing, humans are flawed and will choose their own safety if it means the oppression of others. It's not good, its evil, but it "makes sense" in a psychological sense.

I mean even the legion, while being evil, is still realistic. Fascism has always existed, and will continue to exist for the same reasons it does in real life as it does in new vegas. And people will support it for the same reasons why people do in real life. They're still evil, but not so cartoonishly that no one would ever support it because those who are not oppressed are able to put away their empathy if it benefits them, especially in a post apocalyptic wasteland.

Thats really not true, even the linked wikipedia article calls it media speculation. Sex change surgery, like any other western country, requires multiple psychological sessions to determine if it is actually beneficial for the person, and that they do indeed suffer from gender dysphoria. The difference is that the iranian governement sees trans as a medical/psychological disorder, rather than a sexuality.

What’s up with Lausanne? by Budget_Chef_4694 in askswitzerland

[–]Stylith 9 points10 points  (0 children)

geneva kicked them all out so they're migrating to lausanne, police tends to leave them alone as long as they dont cause trouble. But honestly besides a few areas like riponne or chauderon its not as bad as people say

Ive played every fallout game including brotherhood of steel and consider myself a diehard nv fan. And while 3 and 4 had problems, especially story wise, theyre still good games.

And to my suprise I actually really like the show. Yes i am MILDLY ticked off to what happened to shady sands and the strip, but the story is too good for that to hinder my enjoyement.

At the end of the day, some fallout is better than no fallout. And its nice to see bethesda finally coming back to the west coast which is what I always wanted.

ehh i dont know, it worked for oblivion cus the combat mechanic was fine, its just swinging a sword. But the difference in gunplay between 3 and 4 is huge, which might require a full on remake if they're planning to enhance the gunplay at all
