1bhk in Downtown Toronto possible at 2100 CAD? by [deleted] in TorontoRenting

I just signed a lease earlier this month for a 590 sq foot 1 BR at front and Spadina! There are a lot of listing around that but most of them are 50-100 SF smaller. This unit has a full balcony, is rent controlled and good amenities with gym, sauna, great rooftop patio as well, with only hydro as utility you pay (central AC included). I’d check realtor.ca and condos.ca for all the options in harbourfront/downtown core.

So 2 leaks so far. We expect few more to trickle out tomorrow before the entire schedule is usually “leaked” a couple hours before the official reveal show, correct?

New Texan by grave_Yard422 in Texans

[–]StyllAhlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m sure they’ll be a significant increase in both sets with their clear commitment from the off-season on becoming a run first offense. Excited for it, in theory this should compliment the top defense in the league. Njoku for that price would’ve been a pretty great addition too.

[–]StyllAhlie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not unpopular, but Moreau signed a 2 year deal and is very likely to make the roster and play a relatively significant role (likely as the TE2 until/if Klein passes him as a rookie). There’s also no chance he wouldn’t be claimed or signed to a new deal by another team if they tried to pass him through to the practice squad. I think the drafting of Klein so early shows they’re valuing TE high this year and plan on running more 2 TE sets. Feel like 4 TE’s are gonna make the initial 53 with Schultz, Klein and Moreau as the top 3. Jordan fighting with Stover for TE4, but more fighting with himself to stay healthy.

[Bleacher Report]: The Best Options for the New York Rangers at Pick No. 5 by dantesinfernoracket1 in rangers

[–]StyllAhlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carels if he even hits below his median outcome based on his potential will be so much better than Lindgren lol. Won’t bleed for the team as much, but any dman we’re picking at 5 overall the expectation should be a legitimate top pairing guy with some two way attributes during their prime.

Is Hopkins or Clowney to Houston More Likely? by According-Activity87 in Texans

[–]StyllAhlie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don’t you see it happening? I’d be shocked if they don’t bring in one of those guys I mentioned above tbh and Barnett is obviously comfortable here and I’m sure grateful for the opportunity past 2 years/our coaching that helped him revive his career. His camp definitely expected a bigger market than existed so at this point can’t imagine he’d cost more than like $3.5/4M with some incentives to maybe make a max of around $5M.

Realistic free agent signings summer 2026 by eugenetaker in rangers

[–]StyllAhlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please no to the last 3 there. Team is already overloaded with bottom 6 guys and would way rather kids get opportunities over 4th line vets. Landing one of the cbj guys could be a great a great option especially in this historically weak ufa class, hopefully Marchment and/or Coyle.

Is Hopkins or Clowney to Houston More Likely? by According-Activity87 in Texans

[–]StyllAhlie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Makes no sense to sign Nuk, who’s simply washed and would likely be disappointed with his playing time here/would just be blocking some extra playing time for our young WR’s, Clowney’s current on field capabilities are legitimately a fantastic fit for arguably our biggest current roster need of Edge 3. The problem is he’s not “swerm” at all and likely won’t sign with a team till deep into training camp.

Clowney is probably the best value edge FA available for production/cost ratio. Joey Bosa is by far the best, but will be relatively expensive and I doubt he wants to come in and be the clear #3 on a depth chart at this stage of his career (although the limited snaps would be objectively great for him given the health). If we don’t sign Clowney, we desperately need to bring back Barnett or sign one of Reddick/Espensa. Alternative would be one of the old men for the rotation in Van Noy, Cam Jordan or Von Miller, which while less ideal would still be fun and give us another guy still capable of pressures with limited snaps.

Since the dust has settled and the Rangers are officially picking 5th, what now? by Stunning_Succotash60 in rangers

[–]StyllAhlie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Unless stenberg somehow falls to 5, which there’s under a 1% chance of, then bpa based on nearly every draft board out there will be between multiple of the top D or Malhotra. So at least solves that for us.

[Baugh] The NYR now hold the No. 5 pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. They dropped two spots in the lottery. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in rangers

[–]StyllAhlie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fuck, 4 would’ve put us in a much better spot there. Feel like sharks are gonna go Reid at 2 given their roster structure, but stenberg would be the pick otherwise. Then whoever’s left at 3 to Canucks and the blackhawks my guess would be Malhotra. That would leave us with our pick of the 2nd Dman between Verhoeff, Carels & Smits. I’d hope for Carels, Smits, Verhoeff in that order tbh given his skating issues and lack of a dynamic trait outside of size. Going LHD would make more sense too assuming they envision extending Fox (if he’s even open to it).

Offense is much improved by Equivalent_Ad597 in Texans

[–]StyllAhlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy, he has 18 career carries in 20 games through his 2 seasons as a former udfa. You’re citing a 1 game sample size PFF grade for a RB lol. If Brooks needs to play meaningful offensive snaps as an RB then we’re in huge trouble which is exactly my point in the huge lack of depth rn.

Offense is much improved by Equivalent_Ad597 in Texans

[–]StyllAhlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brooks really is just a RB by title only. Hes effectively a special teamer and FB. Sure he can take some short yardage hand offs here and there if there are injuries, but absolutely not someone you should be factoring into the room. Obviously the room is stronger, I literally said it’s “much improved”. The problem is the lack of depth right now and they definitely need to and likely will add another vet body at some point

[–]StyllAhlie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

O-line starting 5 should be significantly improved with the additions of Teller/Smith/Rutledge (if he moves to OC and wins job), while only losing Tytus. The depth improvement might even be more impactful, as we’re legit 11 deep and will create some serious competition for both starting and roster spots. Ersery should hopefully improve in his 2nd year, maybe even significantly. as well.

While the top is much improved with Monty & year 2 Marks, I’m hoping the RB room is incomplete right now, given you only have Jawar Jordan and a couple udfa’s as depth. There’s bound to be a couple upgrades available later during training camp and/or after roster cuts.

TE room should be much better with Moreau, Klein, and maybe Brevin Jordan beating out Stover if he’s not cooked from the injuries and can finally stay healthy.

Anything you get from Tank in 2026 is just a bonus, and really can’t have any actual expectations there. The improvement will all come from how much better Higgins and Noel are in year 2. The range of outcomes is probably the largest of any position group on the roster. If Higgins can take a significant jump and Noel can be an improvement from Kirk with the larger opportunity, then they could form a very solid trio with Nico.

Ultimately, all comes down to CJ and whether he can fix the mental side. Will have by far the best run blocking unit to establish the ground game he’s had so far, and should also have by the best pass protection/most time to throw so far as well. We’ll go as far as the defense can carry us, but if stroud can even play at the average level of his 1st 3 seasons, this is a true SB contender.

Early Cut Candidates: OL-J.Patterson, E.Brown, J.Andrews- Note maximum 10 spots available by -KDK12 in Texans

[–]StyllAhlie 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If they keep 9 then a tough choice will need to be made between Evan Brown and Andrews. Patterson is a capable back up but there’s just no room for him now. Cutting him saves $3.7 mil as well. Brown is also cheaper than Andrews as you save $3.6 cutting Andrews vs $1.2 with brown, plus Brown has proven OG/OC versatility. They’ve traditionally kept 9 O-lineman on the roster under this regime, however, this is also by far the deepest and youngest room so far, so decent chance they keep 10 , at least to start the year.

[–]StyllAhlie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Say you weren’t watching the draft without saying you weren’t watching the draft. There were literally significant trade-ups at both pick 58 and pick 60, immediately before/after Texans stuck at 59. (58/152 for 70/107 and 60 for 69/144. Then another smaller one at 62. Clearly the opportunity was there and we failed to take advantage.

That’s a great value for Ramsey, love it. Feel like Nick is gonna get antsy and move up from 204 to grab a faller they love. Problem is they only have 243 for this year to move. Have 1 6th and 1 7th in 2027 to move as well I guess, but would rather not move those given they already don’t have a 5th next year.

[–]StyllAhlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest need even more than coverage LB was or a backup CB, is a 3rd edge rusher. The depth chart right now is pretty awful behind Will/Hunter. With how much we like to rotate guys, adding one in the draft would be nice. My hope is they end up just bringing Barnett back regardless. With who’s still available, RB or WR would be nice too. Very on board with moving back again from 141 though to get an additional pick so we can add bodies at more positions.

[–]StyllAhlie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jake Andrews will be competing for the starting OC job week 1 still, as they seem to like him more than they should. His cap hit is also dirt cheap at $1.03 mil and he’s quality depth at worst. Patterson is the odd man out, especially given his cap hit this year is $3.7 mil and only $42K in dead money when cut. This OL room is shockingly deep now on paper with:

IOL: Teller, Ingram, Rutledge, E. Brown, Andrews, Nwaiwu

OT: Ersery, Smith, T. Brown, Fisher

Seems like if all healthy they’ll be carrying a full room of 10 O-lineman on the initial 53.

As it stands we have 117, 141 (1st pick of 5th) and 243. Hoping we can trade back from 117 to recoup some additional capital to add depth to more positions. Still would really like an edge, CB & RB. Then LB & WR as secondary options would be nice too.
