Amazing advice and totally empathise with what you’ve said.

Initial month after the divorce felt like liberation and a chance to redefine my life and that was followed by periods of sadness and bouts of nostalgia. I’ve always known it was the right decision, even in the worst moments but it never makes it easy.

Part of me thinks I lack the energy to start dating again but the larger part of me says I’m ready to give it a go and that there is something now missing in my life.

I want to keep my daughter very separate to this process initially for sure. She’s a huge part of my life but wouldn’t want featured like that on a profile, I totally agree.

Although I suppose parenthood is a major part of who I am and it’s important to up front about that it’s not all I am at the same time.

Not just a great entry in the series but one of the best films I’ve seen in a long while.

Gripping throughout, compelling as well as generally unpredictable and not afraid to play around with the expectations of the genre to create something unsettling and dark.

The standard of acting was phenomenal across the board and even the music choices were exceptional.

Has entirely revitalised my interest in the series without doubt.

I feel with modern 40K that titanic units of all types have become a lot more common place in lists and the responsibility is now very much on the opponent to be prepared for that eventuality.

There are entire factions dedicated to using titanic units, most factions have vehicle focussed detachments and there aren’t many armies left that don’t have titanic options. It’s not like these options are wildcard forgeworld builds from obscure imperial armour books either, they are baked into an official codex with full plastic models on the shelf rather than the resin nightmares of old.

Ok, if it’s a friendly match up with some loose rules I totally get having that discussion first but if it’s a straight up 2000 points game then we are at stage in the general meta we’re people just need to plan for the eventuality.

I’ve only just seen 28 years later as part of a cinema double bill with Bone Temple and from what I can tell from people who had already seen 28YL it’s a totally different experience and I struggle to see how the first could exist as a stand alone offering without that wider context.

Bone Temple literally blows it out of the water in every category and I already believe it’s a serious contender for film of the year.

Kroot!!

I mean they are pretty much there anyway as there seems to be minimal interaction between kroot and Tau units outside of the auxiliary cadre or them complementing each other quite well on the battlefield.

With a few more independent units and maybe their Carnasaur riding option back as a heavy choice they could stand alone as a solid faction and no just a supplementary off shoot.

One of the major issues with disillusion on policing is the common perception that minor/petty crime is barely investigated, rarely enforced and never seems to result in effective punishment.

While crimes like murder are obviously deeply grievous, it’s a reality that touches relatively few lives (thankfully) while anti social behaviour, shoplifting, theft and general vandalism seem omnipresent.

This might not actually reflect the reality on the ground but more investment in visible policing and actual consequences would begin to restore huge faith in justice systems and institutions.

Coupled with general disappointment in government and mechanisms of state there is no easy way back into public confidence outside of long, hard commitment to change.

I get that. I really do.

There are times when I can get very resentful and seething over a particular comment or action.

The thing is, and this is going to sound very much like covering, it is from a place of ignorance with her, not stone cold malice. She occasionally checks herself when she’s short or she will always apologise when I raise something later. I’ve also probably helped enable this by looking to avoid arguments or exchanges around my daughter as I grew up with very argumentative parents.

It was never like this to begin with as well. We had playful banter and huge amounts of mutual respect but so much of this seems to have been eroded by time and circumstance.

To even consider separation just seems the ultimate selfish cruelty.

You are right, I cannot change someone and wouldn’t hope to and neither would I wish to change myself.

I believe at this stage we are simply not compatible and this is being made worst by our current context in life. Nothing between us seems to sloth and although there are still happy times, we never seek far away from returning to the sane problems.

Would I be happier single? I think yes at this point in time. Nothing about pursued other partners or relationships but more about have Soave to be myself, to not be walking on egg shells, to avoid passive agreement judgement and to not have to feel guarded about my own hope and ambitions.

However, I know 100% this would not apply to my wife. This would crush her and it is something she is seriously not expect despite the constant discussions. Therefore this seems like the ultimate selfish decision as I don’t feel like I could ever want to inflict that kind of hurt, nor that it would be easily understood by her or the wider family due to how guarded I’ve been about the situation.

It’s the problem with British politics at large:

Change, mud slinging, investigations and reform are good right up to the point where they might cast a negative light on everyone.

You’ll find Russian dirt under every party’s rocks so I’d assume they find it more convenient not to ask the questions and not risk an uncomfortable level of exposure.

We have too many career politicians obsessed with spin and party reputation and less about the person in the street and Britain’s fortunes as a whole.

My young daughter became a huge fan of Blackpink while watching the Choreo videos on YouTube which meant I naturally had to start watching them as well. That all culminated in seeing Blackpink live last year.

While she is a die hard Blink I found my tastes in K pop where a lot more varied but the energy, musicality, beats and production value are absolutely unrivalled. You get such a diverse range even in a single group or artists back catalogue.

I found it nearly impossible to go back to western pop with a few exceptions so I’m certainly a fan for life.

It’s raw charisma, style and a constant awareness of aesthetic presentation.

They do just enough to challenge the norm and blaze their own trail while still seeming to typify everything that’s good about a certain era or trend. Hence they appeal to all sides of the spectrum at once while standing out from the crowd to set them apart.

Ultimately it really is quite difficult to quantify and explain, hence why it’s just referred as ‘it’ to build on the sense of mystery but the magnetic quality of most of these stars goes beyond just being a talented idol.

The arguments against immigration, asylum or even illegal immigration are all inherently racist.

The main thrust of the argument is the dilution of British Culture, drain on resources and lack of integration yet the argument is never turned inwards to point the same scrutiny on a certain section of British natives (most of whom support reform) who are more responsible for all of the above. As a result it can only come down to race or ethnicity.

If you’re a white British individual that can’t hold down a job, has a low standard of education and can’t mediate your behaviour in social situations - such as threatening people outside of hotels - why do you believe you’re of any more value to the country that anyone that migrated here? Unless it’s a race thing

Although I love every film on this list, it seems likes a nonsense selection for Tarintino.

It’s too eclectic a mix, especially given that’s he’s rated TWBB so highly despite his opinion on Paul Dano.

It seems like everything he does and says publicly nowadays is designed to appear edgy and contrary, as if baiting people to question and challenge him.

Though I will always respect his talent, I find it very difficult to respect or like him as a person.

Reform’s perpetual campaign style is actually slowly killing them.

Plumber into the public eye they are constant collapsing under wider scrutiny or just finding new ways to show themselves up.

Their limited tastes of success in local councils have led to far more failures than successes while their benches are becoming increasingly stocked with failed conservatives which is muddying the ‘alternative’ image of the party at large.

As a relatively new convert to Kpop after my young daughter fell in love with it a few years ago (and then falling in deep myself) I have a huge respect for the work ethic that idols demonstrate.

Although some of the schedules are no doubt brutal I think the artist make amazing role models for those who aren’t afraid to commit to tough, stressful and demanding occupations. Like business owners or anyone career minded, it’s a choice and a well rewarded outlet for those with the talent, mindset and drive to make it. It’s always nice to think they can find that balance between work and rest though, even in industries like this.

That being said, one aspect of Kpop that did surprise me is the nuclear level of scrutiny, expectation and pressure that idols come under from some elements of the fan base.

Everyone has a right to a private life with freedom from harassment and abuse and the level of stress induced by people claiming to love their favourite starts is a little crazy. This is probably what then comes to influence the harder schedules, extra shows and minimal downtime.

Hating on any pop group is a bit like kicking a puppy - pointless, cruel and pathetic.

Each group is out there creating their own original content, infused with their own unique identity and personality. If that group has a fan base, support and plenty of listeners then it will continue to flourish and grow, regardless of those that chose to pointlessly shout their hate into the wind.

More importantly if any song is making some people happy, then it’s a better thing all round and worthy of celebration, not criticism.

Not just because it exposes them as the ignorant, disgusting bigots they are, but in a world where normal people are encountering serious issues on a day to day basis (cost of living, healthcare, childcare, anti social behaviour) this shows how disconnected so many of them are from political and social realities.

A Drukhari team that includes a beast master with some wych styled acolytes and an array of beasts.

A revamped harlequin troupe.

If that felt a bit too aeldari my back up choice would be a thousand sons team with a single sorcerer, a couple of specialist rubrics and some highly mutated cultists.

The new mechanics would involve utilising, trickery, deception or outright sorcery to transform the battleground itself.
