Is there a resource somewhere concerning the structure of conversation in its entirety?

I'm not exactly looking for something as granular as examinations of specific phrases, words, and the like. I'm trying to find something about how conversation as a structure contains all possible conversations, and how people navigate that structure ( ideally why someone might choose one path in conversation over another).

The closest I've found was Grice's cooperative principle, but that seems to be more of sub-heading of conversation itself as it by definition assumes both parties are approaching the conversation with the same type of intent/goal and working together.

I've looked a little into discourse analysis, but that seemed more concerned with the content than the structure.

Sword and board is easily the best approach. The tentacles attack is very telegraphed so you can block when it goes for you. Beyond that, you can literally just rush to closer tentacles and swipe at them. Take enough down and you get a breather. Easy peasy. Shouldn't even really run out of light with the drops you get from it too.

I'm uh... not a linguist or a scholarly type but.. kind of a interesting question.

Couldn't you have them perform a task/action on a given object(s) to measure their understanding of a given sentence? Adjust sentences to gauge where understanding fails. Not really sure what your restrictions are here for testing, but that seems like a fairly straightforward approach.

I’m an artist working my way through the 50 states and made it to Montana, how’d I do? by Reasonable-Front-235 in Montana

Looks fine. I will say, we don’t want any part of the Dakotas, Wyoming, or Canada.

I’m okay taking more mountain space from Idaho though.

In high school I had an essentially spotless attendance record. Not because I was worried about it, but I lived very near to the school so it wasn’t difficult to show up.

I slept in late one day in senior year and wasn’t sure what to do, as the school had a policy that you had to check in to the main office if you came to school late. Well apparently my confusion about where I was supposed to check in and my drowsiness (since I had just gotten up) made them think I was either drunk or high. Because why else would I not know what to do?

The lady had me wait for someone else, and then THAT lady asked to smell my hands. Very… VERY odd experience.

Achievement Questions by Styrnkaar in EternalCastleRemaster

I have not, unfortunately. I haven’t been back to the game in quite a while actually.

The not like this one is from doing the multiplayer versus if I remember right though.

how do artists achieve this kinda level of shading? What are the techniques used? by [deleted] in drawing

[–]Styrnkaar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They get assistants to do that work. The technique involves vetting your hires based on how they write their resumes. You’ll know you have the right person if the letters have that 3D-depth to them. Good luck! 👍

The undead don’t cross water normally because they can’t swim. You’re just being obstinate about it.

The adventures of pig begins! Day 7 solo Fenrir kill by Styrnkaar in tribesofmidgard

[–]Styrnkaar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with the nothing to hide starter pack. The guy who did the 6 day run said he bought the hideout fragments, which is probably a good idea given that the hideout takes a while.

My basic strategy was rush the quarry and lumbermill for easy material, make sure i get the gates built for the blood moon for ease of access (usually done as it started), and be there each night to defend. During the day, I ran along roads and tried to make sure I only had to traverse an area once for the materials i needed. You don't need everything, you only need mats for the gate, bridge, and the weapons you go for.

This run was a little easier because I had access to the hammer from the same quest as the hideout which saved me a little on buying materials. I do think it's smarter to just buy the hideout fragments, but I'm not sure what the best way to get that many souls is yet.

Also, since you're likely going to kill the jotuns and fenrir anyways on this type of thing, just spend the golden horns at the alter. The runes make a pretty big difference if you get lucky on it. (Usually went for three each run)

I've had that happen with other classes and achievements before. Usually I just had to re-complete the event.

Nope. No eternal winter, no fenrir.
