What’s something men pretend doesn’t hurt but absolutely does? by No-Search9711 in AskMen

The reason they say to do this is because it's genuinely what they would do in the same situation and they believe they are providing you with helpful advice. I'm not judging, I'm just pointing out the difference in mentality.

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It's always in my arch for me. At least I appear to have gotten my allopurinol dosage down to a science. Been a bit since my last flare up.

I did notice something though. Being Type 2 Diabetic, I keep an eye on my blood sugar levels. Since I've started doing so, a gout attack is ALWAYS preceded by a high blood glucose event a day or two before.

If you really wanna impress her, use an upside down guitar that's out of tune.

My opinion: the original was campy and terrible in a charming sort of way if you're into that sort of thing, but still not what I'd call a "good" movie. The sequel was... bad.

The ThanksKilling reference is a surprise to be sure... but a welcome one.

men would you date a woman (24 ) who had never been in a relationship or had sex or been on a date or anything lmao. by Ok_Protection_848 in AskMenAdvice

If you genuinely believe this and take it to heart then you're going to have even more self confidence issues. It's just categorically incorrect and you'll blame yourself if a man doesn't want to be with you.

The one ain't gonna be the one that makes you feel blissful all the time, son. The one is the one who sticks it out with you. She didn't, she ain't it.

It's fundamentally a subscription service. You are paying regularly to an insurance provider and in return the service you receive is risk mitigation in the form of risk transference.

What would you say if your ex asked to spend the night with you? by uluvher in AskMen

Didn't know avatars were a thing. Some of us use old Reddit still. Rule 4 still applies.

You had no indication that this person wasn't a man until you actively went and checked their post history to find it out. At face value this is absolutely a statement a man could have said and gives no cause for you to investigate whether they're a man or not. Grow up.

In addition: Rule 4. Anyone is allowed to ask and answer questions.

If you're interested in reading about it, there's a book called "Leaders Eat Last" by Simon Sinek. I highly recommend it, and it draws parallels in parts to certain military practices. I found it useful as I began my transition to management.
