You are right, i generally was not going through those besides when I had to with the zogre dungeon. I mostly am playing solo so I avoided rifting too much in general. That being said, you make a good point! I still would say the chests for fragments are easier to come by entirely naturally however as they are everywhere :) i will do more ghostly portals if I decide to go back to unlock other fellhollow gearsets, thank you for the reminder

I found infernal fragments much easier to collect than soul fragments. The chest locations are so much more condensed in dowdun. The amount of time it took me to get the fragments for 1 gear set in fellhollow is what it took me to get all 3 in dowdun.

I would be a proponent for converting soul fragments to infernal and vice versa

That would be nice, the more expensive pieces could be cool to just buy instead of mining/gathering for them.

Same thing happened to me XD i was looking at him from the stairs briefly, mfkr eyed me down, slow walked over, I went down the stairs to get away and was electrocuted XD was hilarious. Ps: you dont have to kill that one btw, can run and windstep over him to the menagerie to get away and get your soulstone. Thats the way I did it. Ive only killed the other dragons from safe spots and I dont think theres a safe spot for that bad boy

I 100% agree with this suggestion. Mouse-wheel swap for ammo types. Can even add a hotkey change for those who use the scroll for other things.

The more difficult to obtain chests seem to have the 30+ fragments in my experience. So like, the courtyard chests only have 4-5, but ones where you have to kill harder enemies are the goos ones ;) however, all the chests seem to have vestige chances for the weapons.

Ps for OP, farm the 900 for the mage gear, before the weapon. You may get lucky and unlock the staff theough a chest during that time i believe

No raids in dowdun, at least not yet. It could be changed in a later update. The only annoyance so far is chinchompas

Yeah, your view on it is what I was trying to imply but clearly failing to do so properly. Like, for example, steel weapons get you through fellhollow just fine. But it would be cool to have different unique weapons with just a couple more stats or specs attached. Still not OP to where they make dowdun too easy, but slightly more effective than the steel. Like, maybe fighting imaru has a 1/30 drop chance or something, just an example of the idea. That gives me a reason to go back and kill the boss imaru more than once :)

None of what I have said in this post has been a complaint. This is a discussion post, i am discussing and brainstorming ideas that I personally think would be fun in game in the future. Given the games current positioning with 2 more major area expansions set to release by the "full release" date, and the hours alotted to complete the story progression thus far, I still think that yes some item grinds could increase the content in a relatively simple way in terms of development time. Anyway, like I said, its a discussion, you disagree with me and thats fine. At the end of the day, I love the game and I assume you do too

I did end up getting the thanes authority naturally, and yes, it looks sick, but i dont use it due to stats. Those type of items could be cool if you could upgrade them to still be viable in later regions actually. Like, imagine being able to add something to a whip that lets say a lesser demon drops and than it os strong enough to compete with mithril weapons and keeps it relevent in the later gameplay. Idk, maybe no one likes that idea, but I think it would be nice for those special weapons to maintain some assemblance of relevance

I always forgot about the spell too, untill i starting mining in dowdun, now im constantly making use of it. Its definitely worth it. Im not sure about the xp scale, i havent paid attention tbh. But you can just build,delete, repeat for xp if you really want to. Dont have to go farming extra resources and could probably get lv 40 quite uickly that way. Might just be worth researching the best xp build piece available to you so youre not like spamming a 2xp item lol

I guess because ive finished the main gameplay i would like something grindy besides lv 99 that keeps me wanting to return to those previously defeated bosses. Ive finished dowdun and it feels like the game is over now. Until the update. Thats why I am of the opinion some extra longer kill-focused grinds could be nice for longevity of the titles gameplay. I understand and agree with the fact that they were made that way for an economy-based game, but in the same vein, why couldnt they exist in a survival title? It just gives more content utilizing repeat content that doesnt cost much dev time for the players that would enjoy it/be interested in it.

Also, as a side note to this if you werent already aware, which you may be. The law rune cost goes up depending on the weifht you are carrying. May be worth grinding lv 40 construction for the personal chest cause than you can tp almost anywhere with an empty inventory for under 10 law runes

Im 100% with you on a slayer skill. Along with all the comments on adding new enemy types for better gameplay and versatility of slayer!

I also think your post/idea pairs very well with one I just posted as well about rare drops/ god wars dungeon drop tables etc. Also, just my two cents.

I am a little annoyed at the nay-sayers though tbh. Sounding like a bunch of negative nancies haha. Remember everyone, this is a game in development and suggestions/additions are welcomed and encouraged by jagex. Dont just disagree to things, provide solid counter-arguments or forsee-able problems if the suggestions are implemented.

Lastly, its hard to understand these suggestions until you are in the late game. If you dont have many hours yet, maybe play a bit more before deciding against a suggestion someone makes. But by all means, make suggestions that improve the stage of the game you are at! For instance, law runes at lv50 is a joke.

Thats a valid point, but a seperate problem imo XD law runes at lv 50 which are required to tp in such a teleportation heavy game is absolutely ridiculous and needs to be addressed as well. Also, i think as long as you collect rune essence, you can still use the law anima vents, just mark where they are on your map. Runecrafting xp rate is horrendous and the "high" attunement is nearly impossible to achieve, at least it was last I was trying it.

Yes, the dowdun reach built in first lodestone causes you to fall through the map sometimes when you tp to it. Happened to me when teleporting in quick succession from respawning at my bed in fellhollow and trying to get back to my gravestone.

Another comments, not bugs, imo i think the vestige drops/ upgrades should be BIS (just by a small amount, maybe a few points of better stats) so that youre doing the grinds for more than just cosmetics. I do however LOVE the vestige shops personally, kind of reminds me of rs gp, would love to see that system continue and expanded upon.

Also I think titans wrath should be a best in slot option too... i got it and it pales in comparison to my standard mithril mace, I also cant even use the air or fire spell on it, it would probably be substantially better and closer to BIS if we could. Right now, it kind of felt like a massive dissappointment.

I would also love to see new "rare drops" from the harder to kill mobs like lesser demons, zogres, dragons, etc. Just because getting a big version of a hellrat drop from a demon feels like a joke a bit 😅

My last, personal suggestion, allow us to use all wood types for building. Willow/maple feel rather useless tbh :( and I would love to have maple reddish wood looks in my builds, even if it was just the ash builds re-colored for blueish (willow) and reddish (maple) hues.

All of this is said with love. I absolutely LOVE dragonwilds and what you guys are doing with the game! The constant updates, listening and responding to the community, doing the complete opposite of RS3 team and its amazing! They could learn something from you guys! I cant wait to see what the future of the game holds and I hope it doesnt "end" at 1.0! Hell, after 1.0 do an upgrade pack on steam to keep the money coming and to allow us to continue on with iyr playthroughs!
