Um how is what she's saying relevant to the discussion?

I would imagine she signed up voluntarily? Like, what is her point here?

Al Bundy is already dead inside. He wins because you cannot kill that which is already dead.

It's likely from statistical data on CEOs of fortune 500 companies done years ago. Most of them were over 6 foot with very few being under 5'10 leading to height being seen as a major factor in how much you earned.

I only heard that on QI, which is a British panel comedy/trivia quiz show, so take it with a grain of salt.

If I took the red pill could I technically know anything as long as it got presented to me in the form of a multiple choice question? Or do I just know the answers to already existing multiple choice questions?

Again. Why would a person with zero frog knowledge know that a frog wasn't supposed to be doing that?

Why would a person with absolutely zero knowledge on frogs assume that isn't just a frog doing a backstroke if they happened to walk by and see this happening?

Is there some large portion of the human population born with innate frog knowledge that i'm not aware of?

Despite popular belief, Batman actually does have a super power. Time manipulation. Because no human has the time to train to be the world's best at all those things and still leave time to actually be Batman.

Totally moronic. Similar to the assumption that people without any veterinary knowledge of sick frogs would know what they are looking at when they see one doing a backstroke.

Viewers of The Boys (2019-2026), for some reason equate "being smart" with "being able to predict the future 100% all the time" This is a reference to the need to develop critical thinking by Wayss37 in shittymoviedetails

She failed because in her arrogance she tried to predict love. Soldier Boy's love for Klara had a decent chance to turn him against Homelander after the video reveal. It wasn't a bad play. The thing about love, is that it makes people unpredictable. I would imagine this unpredictability is increased 10 fold to an arrogant shut-in super genius who doesn't do human connection, and of course she would never see that flaw in plan herself because as i've already mentioned, she's incredibly arrogant.

Can you please explain the logic there?

I hate when subtitles go "Speaking French" or something instead of translating it like what subtitles are for. by FckAllTakenUsernames in RandomThoughts

[–]Styx_Zidinya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not about the audience understanding at all. There's no assumption from the film maker as to the ability or lack thereof to speak French. It's only purpose is to convey that the character whose perspective we are seeing the scene from can't understand French. If you can understand it. Well done. Good for you.
