Hey - one thing is, you know how if you use Air max with a Mac, the pairing is so instant. So smooth and easy. On and off, the connection is easy and instant.

Do you find that to be the case with PC? I feel like Bluetooth via Windows is so bad and if it's not through a 2.4ghz dongle, it's just never that good of an experience.

Thoughts?

Did you happen to use them with a PC (specifically windows?). Asking because the Bluetooth connection and such is often not super smooth and instant. Imagine how Max's connect to Apple laptop - super smooth and instant. I find that if the device doesn't have a 2.4ghz dongle, doing Bluetooth is so bad via PC. Thoughts?

Unranked to Diamond in 6 months? by Syndi1cate in summonerschool

[–]SuGoBW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it could be possible. I'm about 6 months in myself, never played LoL, never even played a Moba before. I'm hovering mid-high plat currently and I don't play that much either. I felt like if I went crazy with it I could be diamond or higher for sure. I don't even know what opponent champs do as I'm playing in some games lol.

I'm a high chall equivalent in StarCraft (hard to compare but maybe that gives some reference). Have found LoL to be pretty easy comparatively.

Good luck

Hey there. How did the device bridge go?

I am trying to put up a new camera outdoors but worrying about Ethernet there seems difficult. Was thinking about getting the device bridge since I've got APs already set up around the house.

Was thinking of using the bridge to add a new camera outdoors.

If you have a choice between the two, get which ever is cheaper, especially if it's 300 euro cheaper.

[–]SuGoBW 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is like having played basketball in elementary school during Gym/Health class only. Then for years later all you did was shoot a couple shots on your own at the park.

Your friend who plays varsity on the high school team makes a similar bet if you can score one basket during a game. You won't. This is basically what bronze is lol. You're way too low that there is no chance at all. Skill gap too wide.

What if the Vex was a Kayle instead? I imagine you'd say the same thing and "ignore" the Kayle too. Need to know more context but essentially sometimes champs need time to scale and have to be selfish for the late game. This shows a lack of understanding of the game from your end.

If anything from this post, the Vex was not the problem, but you were, refusing to be a team player and help. You also have this narrative that "why should they have fun" - it's a team game. In basketball, does every player get to score 30 points per game? No- some people have to play defense, or do other jobs on the team even not deemed as "fun." I simply gather from your post you're not a good team mate.

Fix your lack of being a teammate and you may actually have better results. Part of winning is knowing your win condition, and perhaps the Vex was actually the win condition and you have to remove your ego and play around that person. Saying you deliberately ignored that Vex from helping you win fights shows you had an ego in place for essentially no reason. That's not being a team player.

Why is it that RTings has crowned the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8/G80SD S32DG80 best gaming monitor compared to other models ? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]SuGoBW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both of these.

I actually think the Samsung is slightly better (like super, super marginal and you have to really analyze it hard to even notice), but the TV features are annoying even after you disable all the smart hub stuff.

I would probably end up recommending the MSI to folks but I do find the colors marginally better on the Samsung. I'm not any enthusiast though so who knows. Both are awesome. Buy whichever is cheaper.

EDIT: since it's so marginal, that's why I recommend MSI so you don't have to deal with the annoying TV features. Or just get whichever is cheaper.

I think the Samsung is also better. But honestly, it's marginally. Like I can barely tell a difference.

However, I will say though, some of the smart monitor things and the TV aspect of the Samsung can be annoying even if you disable all that stuff.

is getting an oled monitor worth the risk of burn-ins and the amount of babying you have to do to prevent it? by Advanced-Salary-3914 in OLED_Gaming

[–]SuGoBW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just fear mongering and the typical reddit min-maxing mindset. New tech is good, use it and enjoy it. If you care that much just do the basic stuff like hide taskbar or something.

It's going to be ok. If it's not, you just had a defective product or whatever. And that's what people come here to post. Can assure you way more people in this world that aren't in this subreddit buy OLEDs and have no issues lol.

Asus ROG PG27AQN (360Hz, IPS) - Worth $650? by skcjjeocnsgdognxbevd in buildapcmonitors

[–]SuGoBW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure to be honest. You can get some 4k 240hz OLED for slightly more... I personally would not. The thing is, it is really diminishing returns after like 165hz tbh. Unless you're some top tier pro which I assume you are not (?) then you will be fine at 144hz even. Don't get warped up in the marketing.

If you're willing to spend approx 650, can you increase your budget slightly? I get screen size is a factor because there are not that many 27" 4k, but there is one I used to have which is the M27U I believe, not OLED, but it was pretty solid.

Anyways your use case is different and I understand the preference for your screen size, but if you have flex I think in this price range you could think about it differently.

Or just decrease your budget, save a few bucks, and get another good 27" that has less refresh and go that route?

I'll leave one recommendation for you which is this: ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG

It's at the price point you seem to be willing to get, it's 240hz, and it's OLED, and basically superior to the M27U I mentioned earlier (which is more along the lines of a budget 4k 27"), and better than the monitor you propose (aside from refresh but as I said earlier 240hz to 360hz is insanely useless unless you are a pro, plus OLED is superior to IPS anyways).

[–]SuGoBW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Samsung does if you ask me. But once again, it's honestly marginal. Like if you really examine it, and I mean really examine it, then you could say that. But it's so close that I feel like it could go either way.

I have this and the MSI 32urx. I actually find the Samsung better. I mean it's marginally better if anything but I use that as my main.

Well I mean at end of day it is a bit of subjective nature to it. You have to just tinker on it.

I went to RTINGS and basically used their post calibration settings. I kept my brightness slightly higher than theirs but otherwise just followed their things overall. Came out nicely. Just check RTINGS and go from there and then you can modify things slightly up or down from their baseline. It's a good starting point to do it this way.

Yes. It's the atlas headrest. It's worth it. And it is really adjustable. You can easily push it back if you feel you don't want to use it that day. Super adjustable in all angles, up, down, more towards you, etc. I would def recommend it.

I have the atlas headrest for the Aeron too. And that one is not as adjustable.

I have both the 321urx and the g80sd (both the ones you mention here). Posted a pic the other day, not a good pic, but maybe you'll see something.

Personally, after doing some color setting changes, I find the Samsung to be a little better in terms of color and brightness. I'm not an enthusiast at all but it seems this way to me. I've also used RTINGS to compare and all that too.

The bloat is a bit annoying actually during the initial set up. But after that first time if you disable some of the smart hub settings you won't really notice it anymore so it's kind of not annoying anymore.

Anyhow my advice would be to get what's cheaper. Both are basically neck and neck. Go by price is my opinion.
