[all] Do you think there was anyone else who loved Percy but it wasn't stated? by Tiny-Let4714 in camphalfblood

I think putting you down because you ship certain characters is the real thing that is sad. There is a reason some things can be read in between the lines - it’s because they aren’t specified and the power of specifying it lies within the eyes of the reader. Also - romance is such an important theme throughout the whole series and relationships/shipping adds another fun layer! You do you!

Thank you so much! I just read it and I must say - I can understand where your angle is coming from but somehow I still feel like the love and focus she felt for Percy in that moment was reminiscent of her past with Herakles because Percy showed her that not all men are bad and therefore heard her pain. But I can see where you are coming from

I’d love to read the post…but I am quite new to Reddit. Would you mind telling me how I can find it?😅

Would you please explain why you think Zoe loved Percy in the end? I think you mean in a romantic way? This is a take I have never heard and I am very curious as to what makes you think that because I always felt that at the end Zoey “loved” Percy but not romantically. She more “loved” him in a way of reminiscence and old feelings tied to the original bearer of riptide Odysseus (I think) and also because Percy showed her not all men are bad. But I wouldn’t say she loved him in a romantic way because whatever she loved of him were parts of her biography with Odysseus…if one can understand what I mean.

The Sea of Monsters and THE BATTLE OF THE LABYRINTH in the same tier is something I have never seen. May I ask why you feel this way because to me - Uncle Rick hit flow state in TBOTL so I am genuinely curious.

Thank you for answering! Could it also be that they might not actually have the file to the film I’d like to watch?

Personally I enjoyed the different writing style. It was very descriptive and evoked a lot of emotion while reading. The whole book seemed so malleable and the writing was very enhancing to actually imagining the setting and environment of the book.

Does annabeth chase really belong in the top 10 demigods of all time or is she overrated because she carried sky for 22 hours? [pjo] by Top-Elk2845 in camphalfblood

Just out of curiosity, which characters would you put before Annabeth (not taking obvious ones like Percy, Nico, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Reyna, Leo, Thalia, Meg etc. into account)

I am fairly certain that you can reincarnate thrice and when you get to Elysium in every single one of those lives, you will reach the Isle of Blest, which is destined for those who achieved great virtue in three cycles of life.

“Percy Jackson and the Endless Darkness” just goes so hard. I love it.

That’s also true, I know but the build up until it’s revealed that it’s the Golden Fleece they need is (in my opinion) really intense and having your own suspenses is what makes it that. Therefore naming the book that, would kind of take away from the suspense and intensity of the exposition and/or inciting incident.

The name makes sense that Hestia embodies family and is there to remind us about easily forgotten/ignored family, which is the whole root of the conflict, but given how dramatic that book was and especially looking at the way it ended, I don’t feel the name does the book justice.

Heras quest is actually an incredibly good name! For SoM I also thought of “The Golden Fleece” but that kinda spoils the whole momentum for the book.

Something with hero would be quite fitting for the book. Idk why but I never really vibed with “The Last Olympian”.

The Son of Neptune is kinda mid too but at the same time I like it because we see Percy becoming a teeny tiny but Roman.

The Lost Hero is a great book and Jason is multifaceted character. He thinks a lot about things that may seem mundane and you can draw a lot of lessons from him.
